5 months agoPretty cool free place with a porta potty and small parking lot. My friend and I were the only people there who weren’t getting their family photos taken. I did not envy those people on that cold windy day who were wearing dresses with no leggings. 😆 I enjoyed it, there are several informational sheets to read posted on the house. Maybe I’ll make it again sometime for a tour when those are being offered.

11 months agoThis free park is amazing. If you need a peaceful moment, or you love old farms, make sure to visit. We had the place to ourselves and really enjoyed walking around the old farmstead.

5 years agoThis is a great place to practice our photography. Especially when the sun is setting. With the perfect angle, we can capture the most beautiful views. It's also dog friendly and connected to some trails leading to Cherry Creek state park. And it's free! They maintain it well and I'm glad the people that frequent here treat it as the historical landmark it is.

8 years agoIf you like Colorado history or the story of western expansion then this is a great little place to spend and hour or two with the family. It's also a popular spot for photographers to take their clients so expect to see cameras and poses all weekend long. Follow the trail from the farm house to a bicycle/walking path that will take you along the Cherry Creek for as far as you can imagine. There is an on site porto-potty and dog bag station near the parking lot.
