Things to Consider
- ⚠Staff interaction at event booths has been reported as unwelcoming and can cause emotional distress in children (e.g., a 9-year-old was made to feel embarrassed and cried).
- ⚠Staff at booths may jump to conclusions about children's intentions or prior interactions without asking qualifying questions.
- ⚠Owner demonstrated poor customer service and complaint resolution, dismissing parental concerns and making incorrect assumptions about a child's experience.
- ⚠Lack of empathy and professionalism from staff when interacting directly with children at public events.
Price & Value
The online resource guide, app, and newsletter are entirely free. No specific pricing is mentioned for activities themselves, as 4kids aggregates information from other businesses. Any participation at their event booth (e.g., games) is implied to be free or part of a broader event's admission, with no hidden costs mentioned.

🍎Food & Drink Policy
- •Not applicable, as it is primarily an online resource. Food policies for listed events or at their event booth are not specified.
🚗Parking Info

- •The website promotes activities in a 'safe and engaging environment' (referring to the listed resources).
- •A significant safety concern is the reported lack of emotional safety and well-being for a child due to unwelcoming staff interaction at their event booth.

a year agoMy previous review was taken down for some reason, so I will repost. My initial complaint resulted in the owner assuming that my child cried because she tried and lost at a game they had - this is incorrect. Basically, my nine year old daughter did not have a good experience at the 4kids booth in Rocklin this past weekend and walked away from it crying. When I asked her why she was crying, she said that when she approached the booth, the person said "You again?" in a tone that made her feel embarrassed and like she had done something terribly wrong. To be clear about what happened: (1) My daughter had previously lined up with my husband to play, but because the line was not moving, she left to go do something else; this was her coming back at a later time. When my daughter started crying, I was not aware of this and legitimately thought she was going for a second try so I mistakenly assumed the owner was technically in the right. (2) Even if it was her second try (it was not) at playing the game, does it really matter? She’s nine years old and at a public event. (3) As a parent, I would question anybody involved with any child who jumps to conclusions and does not ask qualifying questions. In this case, (a) assuming that my daughter had already attempted to play the game, and (b) dismissing my initial complaint and assuming that my daughter cried because she lost at their game. I will personally steer clear of this business. Per the business owner's LinkedIn page, it has been operating for 5.5 years, has 1 other employee, and the 3 other Google Reviews you see here; infer what you will from that information.
