💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • Consider buying combo tickets with the zoo and aquarium for a comprehensive BioPark experience and better value.
  • For special events, strongly consider purchasing the speedy entry option to avoid potentially long wait times at the gate.
  • Take a photo of the park map or bring a physical copy, as navigation can be difficult due to limited signage.
  • Allocate sufficient time; reviewers suggest you 'could spend hours here' and one spent about an hour before moving to other attractions.

Things to Consider

  • A significant lack of clear signage for plants, with many plaques having no descriptions, making it difficult to identify species without prior knowledge.
  • Navigation can be challenging; while areas are signed, moving in/out from them may be difficult.
  • During popular events, entry lines can get really long, potentially causing waits (though one reviewer found the wait 'not too bad').

Combo tickets with the zoo and aquarium are highly recommended as 'the way to go,' implying good value. A 'speedy entry option' is available, suggesting an additional cost for convenience during busy times. No specific ticket prices are mentioned, but the overall experience, particularly with combo tickets, is seen as worthwhile.

Absolutely lovely biopark. I went two days before the new Heritage Farms opened up (so on Easter) and it was extremely pleasant to walk around and not busy at all! I recommended to bring family here, kids especially.

Beautiful and serene, even in the off season. I wish we would have more time in our day to enjoy this place. So much plant life to see, fun things for the kids, and educational information as well. Could spend hours here. Combo tickets with the zoo and aquarium is the way to go.

Beautiful gardens, we spent about an hour here before moving onto the aquarium and zoo. The one criticism I have is the lack of signage about the plants, I counted exactly one and it was duplicated a few rows down (some roses), otherwise we didn't really know what we were looking at unless we had prior knowledge. Would greatly benefit from having said signage up-kept, there were plenty of plaques but no verbage on them. :( They are, however, doing construction as of writing this review for a new area, so ideally that means a potential for said issue to be repaired. Otherwise, take a photo of the map/bring one with you, each area has a sign where you are but may be difficult to navigate in/out from.

What a lovely botanical garden. The park itself was well maintained and all staff members were very friendly and helpful. I was most impressed with the Japanese garden, but all the other areas were gorgeous, too. Not only are there a lot of beautiful plants, but there is also a very interesting exhibition on bugs. If you're looking for something to do in Albuquerque, you should definitely consider the Botanical garden.

A lot to see. So many different light show displays. They even have a kid-friendly dance area. AND FOR THE ADULTS, some "nice" beverages served around the park. I would recommend buying the speedy entry option. The line can get REALLY LONG. But, the wait is not too bad.
