7 years agoThere are various things going on here. I have to commend the instructors for their dedication and enthusiasm to the children. Dr. KAMAE , his Son and his Daughter for their dedication to teaching the Jujitsu Class. Not only are they a stickler to the children performing well in class but also holds a part in ensuring that they are morally correct in their school and home life, instructing them to be positive role models and respecting their parents. Classes are held Tues & Thurs 6:00-7:30pm, Sat 12:30-1:30pm. (Open enrollment.) Then you have Coach Tim teaching Soccer. He is fantastic with the kids. He is always teaching new techniques to the children. He has a lot of enthusiasm and encourages them to do their best and show good sportsmanship. Above all he still makes time to inspire them to remember to thank God. Class - Thursday evening from 6:30- 7:45pm until summer school break. Held in the gym. In addition to the above, they have instructors teaching a life saving skill "Swimming", for adults too. The swimming instructors are dedicated, encouraging, caring and unbelievably patient. I have to commend the entire staff here at Adams Street Rec Ctr for their dedication to the children. There is an after school program with homework help. Dinner and snack is served as well. It is unbelievable and a "great" asset to the City of Rochester.

4 years agoGreat place to swim. Nice staff, very quiet atmosphere, friendly and welcoming. I didn't know any Rochesterian can workout and/or swim at these centers! What a resource!

6 years agoStaff is wonderful! Used the pool area. Lifeguards are on top of things. Pool area clean. Locker rooms could be cleaner. I wanted to fill up my water bottle, water fountain not functional.

5 years agoCalled here to make sure they were open and what time they closed so my daughter can go swimming soon as we got there not even 5 mins between the time that I called they then turned us around claiming they where full to capacity... I could have avoided coming there and causing my 3 yrs old heart ache if they said that on the phone 😑
