2 weeks agoA hidden gem in the Sacramento area! This museum offers an impressive collection of over 40 historic aircraft, including a Grumman F-14 Tomcat and a Fairchild PT-19. The 4-acre outdoor Air Park allows visitors to get up close to these marvels of aviation history. Inside, the museum features interactive STEM exhibits and flight simulators that are both educational and entertaining for all ages. The staff is knowledgeable and passionate, enhancing the overall experience. Whether you're an aviation enthusiast or just looking for an engaging outing, this museum is a must-visit!

a month agoAn absolutely amazing experience! A volunteer and U.S. Air Force veteran shared incredible insights about the aircraft’s that we would have never known. He was an amazing guide, and I had the best time. Definitely coming back!

a month agoThe museum is beautiful. The men who did tour, were absolutely amazing. The staff that work the front “the gift shop” were horrendous. My friend bought a toy they walked into the museum area he put it on the ground and shot it off for the first time, and it was very wobbly, she went to exchange it by checking to see if the others wobbled and they didn’t, the staff then rushed after her acting like she was doing something wrong. They then proceeded to take all the airplanes that looked like the one she wanted to exchange since they sold her a broken toy. I had been about to buy my own kids the same airplane before I heard what was happening, so I know there were more. I took pictures of her broken airplane, and the display to show they took all the airplanes that looked like hers off display. They were extremely rude to her. I went to solve the issue, they told me her son broke it, anything that hits concrete would break but the toy had never hit concrete, the boy sat it down and shot it off immediately after buying it and it was broken. The person who checked my friend out wanted to argue when all I did was ask for a manager. That person told me if she has asked before trying to get one that worked they would have given it to her but because she went to grab it she couldn’t have a working toy. They were all rude. The manager said once she walked out of the vicinity of the gift shop they would not do refunds and I said she doesn’t want a refund she just wanted a toy that wasn’t broken. She said they don’t do that even though we hadn’t left the museum but we left the “vicinity” of the gift shop it wasn’t their problem. She said my friend should have tested it before her son used it outside of gift shop, we thought it was all the same business but they acted like the gift shop was a different place then the gift shop. Our kids had a blast, but due to the rude, inappropriate behavior of the front staff I would suggest going to one of the other many other educational places near by. On our way out my friend said they acted like she stole something, where the person wearing a green jacket shrugged her shoulders, insinuating that she did steal, when in fact she was regrettably a paying customer.

9 months agoThey have completely vitalized and updated this place in the last three years. An adorable cafe, expanded gift shop, and a ton of new exhibits. They also added a large and very pretty area for the small kids to plan, and a really well appointed and functional flight simulation room. But call ahead and make sure they have a volunteer to staff it. Yes kids can do flight simulation! Wonderful exhibit going on now“” teaching kids about practical applications. Very hands-on
