💡Pro Tips from Reviews
- →To avoid getting lost, use 'Metrocom Plaza 11503 E Loop 1604 N, Universal City, TX 78148' as the Google Maps destination, as it's next door to the Sportsplex.
- →Be prepared for high per-person entrance fees ($20-$22).
- →Bring cash and a credit card, as accepted payment methods can vary day-to-day.
- →Arrive well in advance for events to secure parking and seating, especially if it's expected to be crowded.
- →Be aware that tournament games may have a short, 30-minute running clock, which some parents feel limits player experience.
Things to Consider
- ⚠High entrance fees, specifically $20-$22 per person, perceived as 'highway robbery'.
- ⚠Inconsistent payment methods: accepted credit card one day, cash the next (Review 1).
- ⚠Limited parking, with an area to park on gravel, described as 'horrendous' during crowded events.
- ⚠Events can be 'way too crowded', leading to insufficient seating for hundreds of attendees.
- ⚠Short game times (30-minute running clock) for tournaments, leading to a perceived lack of experience gained for kids.
Price & Value
Entrance fees are consistently reported at $20-$22 per person, even for single games. This is widely considered 'pricey' and 'highway robbery' by multiple reviewers, especially given 30-minute running-clock games that offer limited play experience. The perceived value for money is low despite the high quality of the physical facility.

2 weeks agoDirections to NOT get LOST on google Maps. Set it to Metrocom Plaza 11503 E Loop 1604 N, Universal City, TX 78148 which next door to Sportsplex. Good snack Options - yesterday there were fruit cups. Entrance fees are pricey even for 1 game on Sunday-for 2 people. Yesterday they only accepted credit card and today they accept cash?? Parking is limited and an area to park on gravel. Options to buy game video from astrohoopz.

2 months agoWere at a cheer competition here for the 2nd time. The event was way too crowded, the parking situation is horrendous, there wasn't anywhere near enough seating for the hundreds of people that were there. I dread going to this competition every year.

6 months agoAlamo City All Stars Sportsplex is a fantastic facility. I've been to multiple gyms/athletic centers around San Antonio and Austin, and nothing compares. This gym offers great seating, amazing concession stand items, and actually has really clean restrooms. The janitorial staff walks the facility cleaning nonstop from open to close sweeping up popcorn, trash and keeping the floors spotless. Thoroughly enjoy using this facility for my son's basketballs games and tournaments.

a week agoHighway robbery they charge $22 dollars per person there is well over a 200 people here, its a slap in the face to every team that plays a 30 min game not too mention its a running clock game for the teams out of town that’s just disrespectful, where do the kids get any experience out of this terrible thinking on this organization will not support a place like this the money isn’t the factor it’s the 30 min game with kids getting very little to none experience being gained.
