AMC Lynnhaven 18

The movie Sinners was a great watch for a late night date. AMC theater was packed of all ages usually we do a movie and then go shop afterwards right across to the mall but that was closed as expected. The theater was clean and secure, officers were there as usual making sure things are good and really makes the environment feel welcoming in our new time and age of events.

I have been to many AMC theaters, and have been coming to this one since October of 2024. In that time, I have seen a pattern of them not running the theatre correctly. The main issues I see are that they don't regulate the lines whatsoever so my Stubs Premiere Subscription is basically useless. They also are always out of drinks. How they have so consistently done this is crazy to me. Just no drinks except diet. It happened again last night when my wife and I went to an IMAX showing. It was also dirty, and the AC didn't seem to be working. Oh, they were also out of butter in nearly all of the dispensers.and had no food besides popcorn whatsoever. My wife said she wouldn't be returning. Idk that I will either if I can't even get a soda with my popcorn.

Nice, clean, and convenient theater! Staff is great! Only issue was the seats are a bit uncomfortable!!

Have been a patron of this theater for over a decade. The last 3 visits have been the exact same let down. Thats a consistent pattern and not an isolated bad day. Its time to either 1: bring in new management - invest in some deep cleaning and upgrades 2: convert to a discount theater showing movies a few weeks after release, in modest accommodations where the experience matches the cost Or 3: Just shut it down Problems from last nights visit -Filthy -No AC, it was hot and uncomfortable. People were making makeshift fans from items ladies could find in their purses. -Prepaid for food & intentionally did not eat prior to coming, because....we'd pre-paid for food. Nothing we ordered was available except for the popcorn. -No drinks. Seriously, this one was a head scratcher. They literally had 10 variations of diet drinks and NOTHING else. It was 4 in the afternoon on a Saturday and they were out. Highlight point, the staff seemed embarrassed & very willing to try anything to serve customers with the meager offerings available. I dont fault them. These problems are far beyond the scope of their power. If folks are spending $ 150 bucks on snacks and a movie for 3 people, you have to create an environment worthy of spending that much. People have 85inch tvs at home now. They may never return.

I have this five stars two years ago but most recent experiences have been terrible. Like no soda in any fountain yet the still sold me a large soda for 10 bucks knowing all they had was water. Theater had reclining seats which were sticky and clearly not wiped down.
