8 months agoVery well maintained, clean, and quiet public park and beach. Having such a park close to the airport is awesome, even tourists can visit while staying at many of the airport hotels nearby. This park has a beach that is patrolled by lifeguards. There is also a play area, splash pad, and picnic shelters with barbecue grills. The public washroom is open and available as well. Definitely worth visiting if in the area, kids will have a good time for sure. There seems to be enough parking spots available.

8 months agoVery nice park with big, shade-providing trees throughout and nice shelters. Excellent, interactive spray park/splash pad. Playground is nice, but small compared to splash pad. Not a bad walk from the Angle Lake Station (rec to go through the trail by the boat ramp, then up the hill to International Blvd next to the Marriott. See map.) The bathroom was okay.

10 months agoI visited this lake mid-week in late June to paddleboard. I did not utilize the grassy area or beach, only the parking lot and boat launch. Beautiful lake, calm, flat, big enough to space out and not hear any of the people in/on watercraft around the lake. The HUGE downfalls are that it’s so packed, you have to park illegally or wait for some time for others to leave and give up a parking spot. Also, SO. MUCH. SCREAMING. Likely, there are more children than adults there on a hot day, and they all seem to shriek and scream and yell while playing. To make things all the more enjoyable (*sarcasm*), the lifeguards are on the megaphone telling people (children) to stay within the bounds of the swimming area about every 2-4 minutes. Alas, my attempt at calming my mind with a peaceful float on my board, was a fail. It’s just too loud and the screams travel all the way across the water. I did, however, greatly enjoy the scenery, ample water space and ease of entering and exiting the water with my board. I’ll try this park again in off seasons, like when it’s a school night.

a year agoThey have various amenities available for your enjoyment during your visit. They offer a playground, barbecue pits and tables for your convenience, as well as a sheltered area to protect you from inclement weather while you barbecue or host a party. Additionally, they have a beautiful lake where you can engage in activities such as fishing, swimming, or recreational boating. In the summer, they also provide a water feature play area specifically designed for children. Restrooms are conveniently located on site, and they offer ample parking space for your convenience.
