💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • Be prepared for a wide price range for art purchases, from $20 for smaller items to several thousand for larger pieces.
  • Plan to attend on Labor Day weekend, as the event is held annually during this time.
  • Take advantage of the opportunity to converse with artists about their work and inspiration.
  • If attending with infants, be proactive about sun protection and consider planning feeding/changing stops, although vendors may offer unexpected assistance.

Things to Consider

  • While artists are very accommodating, parents with infants should be prepared for the general challenges of an outdoor festival, such as finding private spaces for feeding/changing and consistent shade, especially in a potentially crowded environment.

Price & Value

Entry appears to be free (not mentioned otherwise). Art prices range significantly from $20 for accessible pieces to several thousand dollars for major works, offering options for various budgets. The value lies in direct access to top-tier, diverse art and artists, live music, and a culturally enriching atmosphere.

Accessibility & Special Needs

  • No specific accommodations for special needs are mentioned, but vendors demonstrated kindness and offered seating/comfort to a family with a 4-month-old, which aids general comfort for some attendees navigating the event.

🍎Food & Drink Policy

  • Food is available on-site. No specific policy on bringing outside food is mentioned, but typically for an open festival, personal snacks are generally permitted.

🚗Parking Info

  • Located in downtown Portland, parking would likely involve street parking or nearby paid parking garages. No specific parking details or ease of parking are provided in the reviews.

👥Crowd Levels

  • No specific crowd level times are mentioned, but as a popular downtown event held on Labor Day weekend, it is reasonable to expect significant foot traffic and potential crowds.

🛡️Safety Features

  • No specific safety features like staff monitoring, wristbands, or first aid stations are mentioned in the reviews, which is typical for an open, outdoor festival environment.

When to Avoid

  • Families specifically seeking dedicated children's play areas or kid-centric entertainment, as this is primarily an art exhibition.

The artists, vibes and creative work were all very much a delight! Serious talent in this event. Also we have a 4 month old baby, who feeding changing in the move & attempting to stay out of the sun, can be a real challenge. Especially in a still very much Covid environment, taking space through it all from others... Yet, Multiple vendors offered us their tables, chairs and offerings of comfort simply being gracious and kind straight from the heart. It’s said a lot about the quality of humans we met behind their art, too! Cheers, Kristina
