3 years agoFree and plenty of parking. Trails are impressively marked. The park and trails were immaculate with no trash noted. Surprisingly there was more shade than I had originally expected but I was still happy that I brought an umbrella for sun protection as there are some wide open add exposed parts to this trail. This park offers a perfect opportunity for a beginners hike for families and children. No pets allowed. This park is located on private property. Educational opportunities available. Cool rock formations throughout. There were a few bugs but nothing biting. Select few trails were closed off for habitat restoration. The pond white trail appeared to have a detour due to flooding but again clearly marked. I saw many birds and frogs but no other wildlife but I did go mid afternoon on a 90° day. All in all this is a well-kept and wonderful place to explore.

9 months agoBeautiful wildlife refuge. There are 4 different trails that all interlock together at points so you can hike at your own level and always end up at a point where it's easy to get back to the parking lot. Good for all kinds of animal sightings all year round. There's a bathroom at the head of the trail nearest the house on property. Great place to take the kids, bring a picnic and get "lost" in nature all day.

5 months agoSuch a peaceful refuge to enjoy nature. Each trail is its own adventure, and the maps/trail blazes are exceptionally well done and so helpful. I especially love the benches along the trails that invite you to stop and enjoy, and spot some cool birds too! I saw 2 eastern bluebirds and a red squirrel. The info placards are also super informative. This place is a gem, I'll be back often.
