a week agoThis place is an amazing location for families or anyone who wants to learn more about Insects. I have been to many butterfly exhibits and this by far is the best one I have ever been too for the amount of butterflies flying around. Additionally the other insects were fascinating and there was plenty to see. The signage was informative and easy to read/comprehend. Well done and a must to visit!

3 weeks agoIt was very crowded. The butterfly exhibit is the best thing about the insectarium. There isn't a whole lot to look at other than the butterflies. You can eat crickets on a cookie and ranch and Cajun flavored ones as well.

5 months agoThis is the largest and coolest insectarium I've seen. There was such a variety of bugs (and only 1 spider which I appreciated since I'm scared of them). The staff was super knowledgeable and even let me touch a beetle! I loved the butterfly hatching area and being able to watch butterflies leave their cocoons. The star of the show was the butterfly room though. I've always wanted to experience one and I'm glad this was my first one. It's a good size and there are so many kinds of butterflies in so many sizes. A truly magical experience and absolutely worth the price.

4 months agoThe Audubon Insectarium offers a captivating experience for bug enthusiasts and curious visitors alike. With its interactive exhibits, you can explore the fascinating world of insects. A highlight was the cricket salsa tasting—surprisingly tasty and a bold introduction to edible insects! A must-visit for adventurous eaters!

4 months agoWe took our kids (ages 9-11) to the Insectarium, and it was a great experience. We got the combo ticket for the Insectarium, Aquarium, and Zoo. My oldest was on the older side for this place since most kids there were around 2-8 years old. They have a great variety of live insects, and we learned a lot. There’s also a section in the restaurant where you can try insect snacks, which was pretty cool. You can tour the Insectarium in about 1 to 1.5 hours.
