AZ Paddle Junkie

I had an amazing experience with my beginner paddleboard lesson during my short visit to the area off season! As a complete newbie, I was nervous, but my instructor—a certified EMS professional—made me feel safe and confident right away. He explained everything clearly, from paddle technique to safety procedures, ensuring I understood how to stay safe in the chilly water (Yeah First week of January!!!) The equipment was top-notch, and the instructor took the time to walk me through its use, which was especially helpful. The pacing of the lesson was perfect—slow enough to build my confidence but still giving me a chance to practice on the water. Kurtis was flexible with the timing, and despite the cold, he worked with me to fit the lesson into my schedule. I’m so glad I found AZ Paddle Junkie. Highly recommend for any beginner!

We appreciated that AZ Paddle Junkie was available to rent kayaks to us during the off season! Kurtis was super accommodating, his place was easy to find (very convenient to our home and Lake Pleasant) and when we got there to pick up the kayaks everything was ready for us to load up! He was super helpful in get the kayaks loaded and secured. It was nice that he had everything we needed to enjoy our adventure. We’re excited to rent from him again!

We are visiting from Michigan and Kurt made getting out on the water for a quick sightseeing/fishing trip super easy and efficient. He assisted in loading up the kayaks and even gave us directions and options for Places to take them. Very lenient & great communication. We definitely would rent from here again! ☀️⛰️
