Barn Buddies Rescue

This was place was awesome for the grandkids this weekend. They came up from LA and I was looking for something other than Wally Wombats to entertain them with. This place was perfect. Not only is it a great farmers market with organic pasture raised eggs, honey, vegetables, and a variety of freshly baked goods, it also had a super fantastic animal petting and feeding area as well. It's $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12; well worth it as it helps support this animal rescue mission. You pay an extra two dollars for the small Hay bags to feed the animals and I would recommend showing the children how to do it. Take some out of the bag and give it to the animal as opposed to just presenting the bag to them because they'll pull all of the hay out and you'll be left with a bag of nothing. There were llamas, massive cows, rabbits, goats, galore, potbelly pigs, turtles, chickens everywhere, peacocks, horses, A UNICORN! ‍ and some feral cats around that I wouldn't recommend trying to pet. They are wild. The kids had so much fun and they also were shearing the sheep as well as the goats. I'm pretty sure this happens only a few times a year as their coats get thick, dirty, and very long. See the videos and photos for this really cool demonstration. I'm glad we were there to see that. Highly recommended and we will probably go back for sure.

Sharon, her husband, and their team give so many farm animals a safe, loving forever home. I can't say enough good things about their dedication and the rescue property is always clean and well kept. You can feed the animals there.And they have amazing home-baked goods.All kind of eggs ,vegetables and fruits. Please go and support them.

Barn Buddies is such an adorable place. Friendly staff and the cutest animals. I highly recommend getting the bags of hay food. It was so fun to feed them. They just come right up to you. I also saw small children doing it as well. I think the animals really like the love and attention. Also, I grabbed some stuff from the farmers market. The apple pie was delicious. I can't wait to try the other flavors. Also, I got farm fresh eggs, which were cheaper than the grocery store. Fresh honey, homemade pickles, fruits and veggies. This was a day well spent. And Animals are just so therapeutic. 😍
