a month agoBarnyard Buddies at Lakewood Equestrian Center is a little slice of heaven in the middle of Long Beach. My daughter has been taking horse lessons here since she was 6 (she is 8 now). Most equestrian places make you commit to weekly lessons and charge about 3X as much, but all we really want is to learn basic horsemanship, grooming, and just being around horses. She’s a very shy girl and learning to control a horse has really helped her confidence. All of the instructors are great and we especially love Sydney and Sonia. This place is really special!

3 months agoFun fun fun!!!! A pony ride, feeding the goats, petting the animals. They sell icecream inside too. This is a fun small local attraction across from the long beach towne center.

in the last weekGreat children's petting zoo. Buy some feed at the kiosk. Animals include: ponies, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens ducks, cows. I may have seen a unicorn? It gets muddy when it has rained, so bring a change of clothes before putting the kids back in the car.

a year agoI haven't been here in years, but today, I must say, we will definitely be returning. The animals are friendly, cared for, and fun to be around. The staff- Let me just say as a mom of a special needs son, you all made him feel included and just like all the other kids. You took time to slow down the pony rides, offered to take photos, and even allowed my son to have his photos taken after the ride since he couldn't finish it. It's really heartwarming to have a place that truly cares.

4 months agoLove this experience for my baby. She loves interacting with the animals. Only thing is you need to get here early because they do stop pony rides at a certain time. Other than that, the experience is great for the little ones.
