a month agoI would give this place 100 stars!!! My family had an amazing time at The Farm. I’ve always wanted to visit, but I was always tied up on the days they were open. Finally, getting the chance to go was such a meaningful experience. We had the privilege of speaking with a warm, kind woman whose deep passion for caring for the animals was truly inspiring. Being there was such a feel-good experience, and my daughter had a blast playing with the animals—she didn’t want to leave! The woman mentioned volunteer opportunities, and her words about it being a true commitment were SPOT ON. She emphasized the need for dedication, and I couldn’t agree more. The only downside is that we live in Texas. God bless this place, its mission, and the incredible people behind it. The world could use more individuals like them to make it a better place.

5 months agoVisited for the first time and I have lived here over 20 years! Great little farm. Animals are rescued and given a great life. Staff is friendly and animals are either penned or free roaming. Great for all ages. Produce, eggs, jelly, honey, etc for sale. A nice little place to visit. Bring the kids and support The Farm!

7 months agoMy baby had the best 2nd birthday here! The pony party is definitely worth the extra money, she had so much fun and all the other kids loved it! Then they took us around the farm as a group and introduced the animals to everybody and everyone got a bag of hay to feed them. It was a fantastic day! Everyone was super nice and helpful. Also a great place just for something fun to do on the weekend.

7 months agoI have been visiting THE FARM for years and have been volunteering there for over 2 and a half years now. I love this place. The animals are so well cared for and loved here. I get so busy with my day-to-day life; I forget to write reviews. But I wanted to try and write a review since I have seen a few reviews with complaints, and I want to address them since I have been behind the scenes when I volunteer. I know there is no pleasing everyone, but everyone should have understanding. They are a great place to visit see the animals and feed the animals. The animals are so happy and healthy here. You can never tell what kind of bad life some of them had before arriving. If you are lucky enough to catch and to talk to the owner Sharon or one of the longtime volunteers, we are always happy to give a little bit of the backstory of the some of the animals and answer questions. I have seen a couple of reviews mentioning the cats. Yes, there are lots of cats there, they have a job to do. They keep rodents away. It is a farm so the best way to keep pest away safely is cats. Most farms have them and they are usually called “barn cats.” I have seen people mention the prices of entry and food in the farmer’s market. Please remember they are NOT a business; they are a non-profit. All the money they earn goes to caring for the animals there. All the animals there have been rescued in some way. Most would not be alive if not for Barn Buddies rescue @ THE FARM. Someone mentioned wanting the animals to have more space to move around. They have a pasture on another part of the property that is not open to the public that they rotate animals to when they are not open, so the animals have extra room to run and stretch their legs. If you follow their Facebook page, you will see some pictures of the animals out there. I have also seen reviews about people working there being rude. They run on a staff of volunteers, and a hand full of actual employees. Please be understanding, they are a real farm, the owner, and her husband work 365 days a year 24 hours a day. And yes 24 hours a day, all through the year there are baby animals needing around the clock care, sick animals, illegal fireworks, etc. The Owner is one of the kindest and caring people you have ever met if you take the time to get to know her. She worries about all her animals all the time, everything she does is for the animals.

a year agoFirst off to anyone complaining about the cost of the food or experience surely doesn't understand what it costs to really take care of farm animals and to take the time to bake all the fresh bakery items or pick and clean the fruits and vegetables. Get out and go do some REAL labor. Secondly, when my girlfriend and I went there this past Sunday, we had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect the staff was friendly. The animals that they rescued are all looking as healthy as they can be from their previous lives. We bought a couple of tickets and two hay bags to feed some of the animals. There are cats, exotic birds, chickens, and ducks just cruising around the place. Many are friendly. But like all the signs that are posted everywhere, many say pet them at your own risk. It's understandable because some can be in a bad mood or have had enough attention for the day. It was an amazing experience and a chance to see some of Mother Nature's beautiful animals. Thirdly, we spent about $55 in the market. It is completely worth every penny and more. The apple pie was amazing. The apples inside were crisp, and it wasn't overly sweet. It's definitely worth it. The pumpkin creme cheese roll was also not overly sweet and very dense in weight. The chocolate bread was thick and fluffy and was also not overly sweet and tasted amazing. Haven't tried the apple pie jelly or pickles yet. But I'm just going to take a wild guess and say that they are also amazing. So please take a day and go out to the farm it's worth a visit or more. We plan to go back again. Definitely for the food and to experience the animals again. And a piece of advice that I read from a previous post. Don't hesitate to buy the fresh bakery items. If it looks good, buy it immediately. It may not be there the next time you visit. Lastly, for one sign that I read, it had a very great impact and appreciation of the farm and this great family that helped build Las Vegas, Henderson, and Boulder City for what they are today.
