a month agoJust walking the nature trail is a delight itself but seeing the Galapagos turtles and snapping turtles in the ponds

2 years agotypical south Florida sand trail through brush. walked all the way to the fossil reef thinking we'd be able to walk on the beach in that area but the boardwalk terminates at the water and has no way to get down at that spot. the water is shallow (ankle to mid calf) for quite a ways out, with sea grass covering most of the sea bed. After reading a few online reviews we thought we'd be able to snorkel here from the shore but it's not really practical.
