Expert Summary

Detailed Insights

Bennett's Curse offers a unique, completely indoor haunted house experience, lasting approximately 45 minutes, featuring extensive and high-quality special effects and displays. It's known for creating 'worst nightmare' scenarios rather than typical horror, providing a long, immersive, and very scary journey that many find to be a great value.

Key Highlights

  • Actors prioritize visitor safety, even pausing for concerns (e.g., if someone falls), rather than staying strictly in character for scares.
  • Features amazing special effects and huge, unique displays that are described as unlike anything seen before.
  • Completely indoor attraction, ensuring the experience is unaffected by weather, with a substantial ~45-minute walk-through duration.
  • Scary scenes are described as 'worst nightmare' style, distinct from typical horror, providing intense scares.
  • Generally well-run with good group spacing, which often creates a feeling of being alone within the attraction.
  • Includes specific memorable areas such as a 'cage area' and an 'awesome 3D room'.
  • Effective jump scares and engaging music are noted to enhance the overall experience.

Standout Features

  • High-quality, dedicated actors who are both engaging and safety-conscious.
  • Elaborate and unique themes, rooms, special effects, and huge displays create an immersive environment.
  • The completely indoor nature ensures the experience is consistent and unaffected by external weather conditions.
  • Specific memorable elements like the 'cage area,' immersive music, and an 'awesome 3D room' contribute to the unique appeal.

Perfect For

Highly recommended for children aged 10 and up, as a 10-year-old son 'loved it' and the attraction is described as 'very scary' and like 'your worst nightmare', which might be too intense for younger kids.
Not suitable for young children due to the intensity, darkness, and 'very scary' nature of the scenes.

Ideal For

Families with pre-teen and teenage children (10+) looking for a genuinely scary and immersive Halloween activity.
Groups of friends or adults who enjoy elaborate haunted attractions with unique themes and special effects.
Visitors who prefer indoor activities unaffected by weather.
Those seeking a longer haunted house experience, expecting approximately 45 minutes of walkthrough time.

💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • Bring a phone with a reliable flashlight function for navigating extremely dark sections where visibility is near zero and pathways can be disorienting.
  • Be prepared for very dark and potentially confusing pathways with multiple curtains; don't hesitate to ask actors for guidance if you get lost.
  • If concerns about group spacing persist, consider attending during off-peak times, though reviews generally indicate good spacing.

Things to Consider

  • One section is described as 'completely dark,' leading to disorientation where patrons run into each other, requiring personal phone lights to navigate.
  • Pathways can be confusing in very dark areas, with multiple curtains making it unclear which way to go, leading to visitors getting lost and needing actor guidance.
  • Some groups felt that 'a tiny bit more spacing' between groups would improve the experience, suggesting occasional proximity issues in certain areas.

Price & Value

Reviews indicate the experience offers a 'good price' and is 'well worth the price of admission,' suggesting strong value for the approximately 45-minute, highly themed, and unique indoor attraction. No specific dollar amounts were mentioned, but the perceived value is high.

  • No specific accommodations for special needs were mentioned in the reviews.

🍎Food & Drink Policy

  • No information regarding food or drink policies was mentioned in the reviews.

🚗Parking Info

  • No information regarding parking was mentioned in the reviews.

👥Crowd Levels

  • Generally well-managed with groups 'well spaced' to create a sense of isolation, preventing overt crowding. However, some minor concerns about needing 'a tiny bit more spacing between groups' in certain areas were noted, indicating occasional density.

🛡️Safety Features

  • Actors are explicitly noted for prioritizing visitor safety, demonstrating concern if someone falls or needs assistance, rather than staying strictly in character for scares.

When to Avoid

  • Young children or those easily frightened, as the attraction is described as 'very scary' and features 'worst nightmare' themes.
  • Individuals with a strong aversion to complete darkness or disorienting environments, as some sections are extremely dark and confusing.

Had an awesome time! Great themes and rooms. The actors were great and if someone fell or something they were more concerned about safety than the scare, which is awesome. Took my 10 year old son and he loved it! Good price and a very long haunted house. Would love to try the forest one too.

Amazing special effects. The displays are huge. Well worth the price of admission. We've been to several haunted attractions and this one is unique. It is completely indoor. It's one building but it is long! It takes about 45 minutes to walk through. The scenes are incredible, unlike anything we've seen before. It's not your typical "horror" scene, more like your worst nightmare. Very well run, not crowded, well spaced so our group felt like we were in there alone. It's very scary. I'd definitely recommend this haunted and I'd return!

Great night, the staff was great. The walk through was awesome. I liked the cage area my son and I loved the music, we want to go back and mosh with the clown and psychopath. The 3D room was awesome. And the jump scares were great. Will be back again.

Highly recommend going to this place definitely got a couple of scares and I don't scare easy. I would have rated five stars instead of four but there was one section where it's completely dark and you're running into people trying to figure out where to go I had to use my phone to get out. I recommend adding a little bit of lighting to that one area. And I think maybe a tiny bit more spacing between groups and I would definitely rate five stars. Overall totally fun and totally recommend great job

It's very fun an definitely scary, the one issue we had is that it is very dark and that pathway is a little bit confusing because you have to go through a lot of curtains. Some of them you're not supposed to go through and it was a little unclear which ones were the right ones. My partner and I got lost a few times and had to get guidance from the actors where to go next. but besides that, the scares definitely made it worth going.
