a month agoThis would be a five star rating, but the park has deep/wet sand in the play structure area. Also, middle school kids were playing at the park during school hours with the teacher outside. I believe it is a public park so that was kind of an inconvenience when there is a toddler trying to play

a year agoIt's a sparse but nice park. Open fields, small gazebo/shelter, basketball court, small playground equipment structure round out the amenities. Built on and around a pond/wetlands area. Scenic bridge and walking path bisects the park. I think disc golf features ( putt practice baskets or a 9 hole beginner course ) would enhance the space.

6 years ago# Canadian geese ... in the fall (mid October to the end of November) if you would like to see lots of Canadian geese come to Blackhawk Park... There are times during the fall when you can literally see hundreds of Canadian geese in this park at one time... You can watch them land on and take off on the soccer fields and also in the Park pond... It can be a spectacular sight sometimes!

9 years agoIt is a fairly small park, and very new, so the trees and such are still small. But plenty of room for games of all types. And a nice place to walk the dog.
