a month agoSurprisingly good fresh ingredients and good tasting basic food. Large portions for fries and onion rings. Great with the beer and wine selections they now have. Very chill watching the herons float by on massive graceful wings from the high nests above the boat house. The squirrels, birds, ducks, geese, and gulls who'll stop and talk lol. Huge slow swimming koi below the surface and visible on bright cloudless days. The staff at the boat house are friendly and healing, in reassuring with a nod and greet all is right in this corner of the world. Great place to visit

a month agoGood basic food and drinks. They sell swag too! Great staff! You can rent paddle and row boats. Free parking all around the lake. Do not leave any items visible inside your vehicle! Golden Gate Park shuttle bus stops here. There are public restrooms.

10 months agoLooks nice enough, didn't rent a boat or buy anything as we brought a picnic lunch. I hadn't realized there was a place at Golden Gate Park where you can rent paddle boats and stuff. Kinda cool, may be back in the future. It's also great that there's a free shuttle that runs every 20 mins weekdays, and every 15 mins on weekends and holidays; to help you get to various places throughout Golden Gate. Museums, Rose Garden, Japanese Tea garden etc. FYI the restrooms I visited were clean and well stocked.

a year agoA gem in the middle of Golden Gate Park! We had no problem renting a paddle boat for the three of us and an hour rental was enough to get around the lake and have fun! It’s reasonably priced for the family. Parking is free if you can find a spot along the road. The boat house also has food options and a place to dine or eat lunch you bring. You can also sit along the lake in benches or on grass. Many things to see from birds, turtles, waterfall, pagoda, bridge, etc. it’s fun for any age! Even more fun when you are the parent and your kids do all the paddling! Try it out!

11 months agoLovely and beautiful park. Renting a paddle boat and going on the lake is such a beautiful ride. We really enjoyed the Herons and turtles and ducks. So adorable and a nice escape in nature.
