Blue Playground

A very popular park for kids and teens. Despite being so beat-up, I really enjoy hanging out with my friends in this park whenever we go out. I would give 5 stars if the railings and other parts were fixed.

I normally LOVE this park for my 2 year old but I have to say that I am EXTREMELY disappointed by today's walk down to Blue Park! First starts it's now May and the town has not reinstalled the swings or the baby swings which is mainly the primary focus of why my two-year-old loves to go there, so that was striped one. Today the park was full of a bunch of older children that shouldn't be hanging out in a park made for smaller children, older children doing things that they shouldn't be doing in front of smaller children, and I was even disappointed by the parents of the other smaller children that were there. These parents must all know each other because they're all congregated in an area of the park where they can barely see what their children are doing and they're all smoking weed drinking drinks vaping and talking amongst themselves while they're children ranging between the ages of three and up are all pushing around the smaller kids like my own son. I'm sorry but if I have to intervene and scold a complete strangers child for what would normally become in courtesy on a playground there's a problem with the parenting. these are all children and parents that I've never seen at that Park before and I've been going there for 2 years now. I'm extremely disappointed in the town of Lackawanna for not reinstalling the swing sets in time for the good weather even though I do understand why they take them down and I appreciate it I feel that they should have been up by now considering all the good weather we've had, in addition there should be stricter rules and if needed better security of the park to make sure that parents and kids of all ages are acting appropriately around especially the smaller children the last thing I want is for my two-year-old to grow up seeing adults and kids doing drugs and drinking down at his favorite Park or feeling like he's being bullied by children even a year older than him because nobody's parenting them properly and I pray to God that somebody of importance sees this post and takes it seriously and acts on it as my neighbor is the lieutenant for Lackawanna and I would hate to have to bring this matter to his attention. I truly hope that the other parents in the neighborhood have had better experiences than I had today I am truly disappointed by a park that I once raved about!

My grand daughter was threatened by another child, (whose mom just dropped them off and sat in the car) that he would punch her in the face if she didn't push his brother. My grand daughter was there to play not baby sit another woman's disrespectful little brat!! If I could rate a negative 5 I would !!

My son likes this playground. He thinks the old school merry-go-round is just the best thing ever. I did notice that a metal railing is broken, hopefully that can be replaced by next summer.

This is a pretty nice playground I like the fact that they have a merry go round something that you don't often see at playgrounds anymore they also have see saws and a pretty nice wooden slide playground it would have been better if maybe somebody maintained the playground, it seemed like there was a lot of trash that could be cleaned up.
