a year agoThe Boathouse at FDR Park is a picturesque feature of this urban oasis, offering a serene backdrop for various activities. Situated by the main lake, it provides a peaceful spot for fishing and is a favorite among locals for its scenic views. Historically, the Boathouse served as an elegant “Russian Tea Room” during the 1926 Sesquicentennial Exposition. While it once offered boat rentals, this service was discontinued. Today, the Boathouse remains a tranquil place for park visitors to enjoy the natural beauty and tranquility of FDR Park.

2 years agoFDR Park is an incredible spot to bring the family and relax. Theres lots of seating areas, as well as picnic tables. Playground, tennis courts. Not to mention an epic skatepark just south of the park. It's large enough to where you won't feel crowded even on a busy day. Doesn't feel like your in Philly when you're there - it's a nice welcome escape.
