4 months agoGood for one time experience. The theater itself is fine and the exhibits are great. But it runs on fcfs basis, so if you’re not willing to stay in line up to an hour or late you’ll get the left over seats which are not gonna bring you the best impression about the show. Around 400 seats, so pretty crowded if fully booked + if it’s an expected premiere the tickets are going to be sold out weeks before the show(We went for 10 year anniversary Interstellar) The screen is big and high quality. The parking is another disaster, will take you at least 30 mins and all paid spots, except it’s Sunday and you’re lucky to find roadside parking for free. Again, exhibits were worth much more than a film for me, a lot of experimental and cognitive content around, 100% worth of the time you’ll spend walking around especially with kids is a MUST

a week agoThey sold me a ticket for a 2:00 PM showing of a film. When I showed up, the 2:00 pm showing didn't exist. They explained that they had made an error and knew about the tickets being sold for a non-existent time. But they didn't email me to tell me in advance so I didn't have to drive all the way out and pay $40 in parking for a non-existent existent movie. The staff member I spoke with was extraordinarily rude. She sarcastically told me to "enjoy the parking garage" when I explained we had just paid $40 to park to see a movie that didn't exist. She laughed and generally found my wasted time and money very amusing. I then called to try to get a refund, where I was placed on hold for 20 minutes before being sent to a voicemail. They are incompetent, rude, belittling, and aggressive. Very negative experience and I would not recommend giving them your business. UPDATE: don’t be fooled by their reply below. I emailed them and they never got back to me. They don’t actually care, they just have an automated tool setup to post fake “replies” to deceive you into thinking they care about their customers. Don’t give them any business.

5 months agoBeautiful theatre with an insanely huge screen. Saw Wicked here and there wasn't a bad seat in the house. Can't wait to come back and see something in 3D

a year agoTight seating as others have noted and unassigned. The screen size is outstanding and the audio arrangement is incredible. Definitely worth a visit, and important to note the cool pacific science center architecture and pools, and appreciate the 1962 world’s fair history. Just visiting the theater in this building and area makes it special to itself, never mind the beautiful screen and sound system. Enjoy and go with the flow, take in your surroundings, and you’re sure to have a great time.

4 months agoI have been here twice, both for the Interstellar IMAX viewings and to say it's an experience is underselling it. The theatre is definitely a bit dated and could use some refurbishment but the screens and sound are top notch. Plus you can get alcohol at the concession.
