Bowlero Mechanicsville

Went to Bowlero Mechanicsville, they were busy but had a wonderful time. Karen (She told one of my friends her name) at the snack bar was amazing and had an amazing attitude. She was very helpful and very knowledgeable about the menu. However, there was one thing that was amiss from the center. One of the regular workers was no longer working there and it was upsetting to hear. One of my friends noticed that she knew her job extremely well, even though she wasn't management. She acted just like a manager should. The bartenders were amazing as well, they were very knowledgeable about their menu. Sad to hear about the fact that y'all no longer do the fish bowls. Cherri the manager was also amazing, she made sure my group was taken care of before I arrived. We were a walk-in group; however I had my own shoes, but she made sure that my friends were taken care of. Also, my friend paid, though I was never told the total since it was a surprise get together. After a while, my friend had noticed Karen was getting stressed out and calling for a manager. The male manager ignored her, walking past the snack bar as she tried to call him over. This bowling alley needs to learn to treat their employees better and needs to make sure that they are helped out. The front desk did amazingly along with the snack bar, but they were busy, and it seemed like everyone was stressed.

Went for my family's annual Christmas celebration. We had so much fun. Customer service was good. Bartenders were amazing and funny. Will definitely be back for them alone. The atmosphere was for all ages. Good food drinks music.

We had a work event here tonight as a small get together. A few of us arrived first and they were very prompt getting us checked in, shoes in hand, and to our lanes. They two gentlemen who helped us at the front (I believe one of them was Kevin?) We're both very friendly and pleasant. Once we were seated, we noticed a light up sign on a table behind our assigned tables that said #animals. Our manager asked if they did that for us and he said they had since we were a veterinary practice. My manager was so excited and it just showed the thought and detail they put in to an event, even one that wasn't really anything of importance. After a few more people arrived, they started the pizza and we started ordering drinks. The drinks arrived very quickly and he came to let us know the updates on food, which was much appreciated. The pizza and drinks were delicious!! That's probably the best pizza I've had in a long time. Everything was so reasonably priced. Games were only $6 and shoe rentals , $5 something. Drinks ranged from $8+ to $12ish except for the drinks for 4 people. The lighting was dim and fun though it can be a bit loud and hard to hear. You can put bumpers up on select people or whoever you want to have them. There were a lot of choices for balls too so you don't have to feel obligated to bring your own. They also have an arcade for kids or anyone who just wants to step away for a bit and do something else. If you enjoy it and go back regularly, they even have a rewards program.

The staff was very helpful tending to our needs before we even asked. 😁

This is a very nice bowling alley. However, it is a little more pricey, especially for food and drink. We bowled today with 2 adults and 1 child. We paid $86.49 for three games (third game was 50% off) and three shoe rentals. A little more than the smaller alley closer to home but it was expected to be more expensive than that. But it was $4.99 for a regular sized soft drink. So we paid $15 for three fountain sodas. That's just a bit wild. I would definitely recommend to eat or drink at one of the many nearby restaurants instead and just do the bowling there.
