Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County

The Larger blonde woman that works in the front has a disgusting attitude and it absolutely blows my mind she speaks to paying parents the way she does. I don’t think I will be bringing my children back here, which is sad because we just moved and had high hopes for some fun kids activities.

My grandchild goes to the club in Spokane Valley and the staff there are so nice. Tayler and the workers there seem to love what they do and the kids are that go there are so happy. We used to go to the Spokane Boys & Girls Club just for the summer and it was great too! Now, I'm really happy they opened a club in the Valley so we can go all year!

I agree with those who are dissatisfied with the new management. There is a ”clique" running the organization who have no childhood education training and twist the truth to justify their actions. It is a shame the children suffer for the egos of bitter individuals. They play favorites and discriminate against those they do not like. Never has it been more true that you get what you pay for. If you are unfortunate enough to go here, ask for a behavior agreement to keep your child from getting suspended. Oh and check the reviews. Destiny and Sarah are admins. Who needs to pad their own reviews?

I had my son go here last winter and everything went great, so I had him attend here for the summer. My son had 2 days where things did not go well and he had a bad day, as kids do sometimes. The second time he had a bad day, they called me and said that he was being suspended for the summer. As a mom, I wanna know everything that happened and just be able to understand. When I went to go pick him up, the answers I received were very vague. I was also being told my son was doing things that was out of character. I couldn’t get a straight answer and from what the employee told me half the time he was being “bad” there was nobody who was watching him and nobody who could tell me what happened. I called the director that day to speak on the situation and she never called back or made an attempt to get into contact with me. After talking with my son, turns out he did not like going there and I don’t think they were being honest about everything. After reading some of these other reviews and looking into into other families experiences I think that this place is shady. I’ve never dealt with such unprofessionalism and never had so much skepticism about a childcare facility. I would not send your children here.

Was a great place to send your kids until last year. It is now under new management and the new team seems to find it amusing to kick children out and threaten parents to pick up within 5 minutes or CPS will be called. As other reviews have mentioned most staff is amazing, but some of the upper management seems to exaggerate the truth to the point of lying to protect themselves for kicking out families for no reason other than to keep numbers down. I recommend going to Mead, it is worth the drive. The other location is unreliable and no longer in it for the children. This is very sad, hopefully the management change and things will go back to the way they used to be for parents, because it just keeps getting worse.
