Bug Carousel

Free with membership ; otherwise you need all access ticket or an add on to your general admission. The carousel is simply gorgeous with the gigantic renditions of caterpillars, praying mantis and other insects. Enjoy the beautiful artistry of this unique carousel.

This was a fun ride! We visited the zoo on a Wednesday and there was nearly no line. We chose the grasshopper and the praying mantis; great size for adults. The whole thing makes for memorable pics, but it was a little bumpy and not incredibly comfortable. The ride lasts about five minutes. Check it out!

Adorable ride for the little ones! Took a long time to get everyone on but was cute and well cared for. Not too pricey, highly recommend going while at the Bronx zoo.

This is a beautiful carousel. They have little bugs to ride on, many of which the kids relish showing off their knowledge of what bug is called what. A huge hit with the kids and people of all ages, it sits in the Bronx Zoo. I believe, due to covid-19, it's not in service, but I eagerly await its reopening!

Loads of fun for kids of all ages. Has various bugs to sit on and seats for those that don't want to sit on a beetle😁
