My family came here for the first time the other day, when we walked in the older lady brunette lady greeted us and asked if it was our first time we said yes and she said okay no outside drinks, I had another coffee in my hand and since I saw it was a coffee shop I thought I’d be okay to bring one in since we just randomly decided to stop by here to check it out. My blended coffee melted while we were there. She also said well I need to charge you for an extra adult, and do you all have socks on? For some reason she didn’t see very friendly, more irritated with us. She told me to register and that I did not need to complete the waiver which I also thought was weird for us not to do that, I did it anyways. We walked in and this place was great, it did seem pretty clean, other than i saw many kids chewing on the balls in the ball pit, the staff was walking around cleaning up a little bit while kids were playing. I did notice though many of the rooms didn’t have much in them. Maybe the kids took everything out by the time we got there at noon. One room just had a brown rug and two folded chairs. We still enjoyed our time, and they also had a nice menu and adult drinks. We got the Saturday special mini board which was a great idea.

This was my first time here with my kids and my last time, we were excited to meet friends here. I walked in and was greeted by the older brunette woman that had a tag on that said shop-manager, I started filling out the waivers then she asked if we had socks. My youngest and I didn’t so like most other places i asked if they had socks for me to borrow. She said no and said I had to pay for them instead. I wasn’t going to do that. I then had to stop the form and carry my 18 month old out to the car and search for extra socks even though I knew she’d rip them off in the play place anyways but whatever. (Yes she ended up ripping them off and I lost one so pointless) but- I grabbed them and come and finish the forms and my baby and other child are antsy at this point so as I’m putting my baby’s socks on she walks by again and rudely says you need socks too. No hi, not even trying to be polite. Flat out disrespectful. At this point I was ready to leave with how abrasive and unprofessional her tone was from the beginning but my friend luckily had socks for me. She heard me say this to my friend and just walked away and was bugged talking to the other younger employee I guess.? It tainted the entire experience and as someone who works in customer service and has worked with children and parents for almost a decade, she needs a real shape up. My friend even noticed that she was incredibly rude and had made a rude comment to her about outside food or WATER when they arrived. Sorry but this establishment doesn’t know their crowd and needs to understand how to talk to people when the rules are already a bit ridiculous. Looks like this is common with other reviews so I suggest an attitude adjustment or leave whatever issues you have at home and not take them to work with you. I understand certain rules, but it’s the way you go about it than can make or break things. We will not be going back and I recommend Mimi’s in shingle springs. Way more laid back and friendly! Giving stars for the Tuna melt.

Nice cafe and love the two gates. Except the worker didn’t stop a kid from getting out luckily I caught them before the parking lot. The play structures are nice. Yet I feel like they don’t invest back into the business as far as keeping up on the toys. Some rooms were completely empty of toys. Hardly any food for the kitchen. Every toy is old or falling apart. I feel like buying plastic toy food would cost very little to replace. They should take notes from elys.

Thank you for wonderful experience BUT definitely NEED IMPROVEMENTS COFFEE SHOP IS STILL CLOSE. We’re excited to try out this place since it’s kids friendly and for parents a coffee shop. And reading some previous reviews is having the same issue. SELLING INDOOR PLANT & TOYS 👍🏻 CUSTOMER SERVICE 👍🏻 The place is nice to try to connect your kids to other kids and toddlers. Also with parents. TOYS ARE FROM either donation or Goodwill. The toys are somewhat organized but definitely not new and updated. Although they have fully functional piano and music instruments. They should have a PROGRAM that if you donate decent and functional toys you get a discount or at least a nice warm cup of coffee. SANITATION INSIDE PLAYING AREA. Not that good since they only have sanitation pump outside before entering the play area. Could be more sanitize if they have each play room a wipes or alcohol pump.

Update! Busy Kids just called me and wanted to hear my feedback and follow up on my review. I want to commend them for reaching out and we will be back to try this location out again. Again, my daughter had a great time and hopefully next time we’re there I’ll have all good things to say. Please note: I never leave bad reviews but…This place is RUN DOWN. The posted pictures are totally misleading. There are no legos. There is no ball pit. I was so surprised. We usually go to the galleria location which is fully stocked and newer. I think that’s the issue, the galleria location is newer, maybe? Maybe the Folsom location could take some toys from there to help this location out. The store and kitchen area was so sparse, maybe ten extremely used wooden fruits and veggies, everything in the place has chipped paint, stains, just worn out. All the baby nursery and vet stuff is just threadbare and nasty. I get it, kids run through stuff, that’s why we bring them to places like this BUT I’m shocked that the owners wouldn’t put money into updating or replacing anything. Of course my toddler didn’t care and had a great time, she’s two, but for $14 I was hoping the place would at least be well maintained. Also, I was hoping they would have a cool climbing structure like the other location not a used up wooden play structure. Look, Living Spaces has a free play area for kids 4 and older, I’ll just take my kids there. Goodness.
