♿️ Beautiful green space. Great for a quick walk and close to quite a few things. I believe this park is ♿️ accessible. There is a parking spot right as you go into the park. There is a cobblestone pathway and a paved path capable of getting you throughout the park. It's small and right across from the Virginia Samford Theater. Plenty of people seem to walk their dogs on leashes, there are plenty of trash cans available to dispose of the waste. There was cat food on one of the benches for the kitties that roam freely and hide.

To whoever wrote "and freely roaming cats." in the description thank-you! Saved me time not going there with the pup! 😂

I went to the adjacent school here before this was a park. It used to just be empty interstate with parking where homeless people hung out. This park is a HUGE improvement, and that is an understatement. I love that the interstate provides constant shade and breeze. There's everything from a skate park section, dog trail, designated area for a food truck, designated stage area, charging stations everywhere, sprinkled with art installations, and the cleanest public bathrooms I've ever seen. This is what tax dollars well spent looks like.

In went based on a Google Search, stating it was a dog park. It's not. It a beautiful old park in the city. Lots of green space picnic spot. Old Stone carved steps. Very turn of the century. Quiet at the time I was there. Quite peaceful.

Grass needs to be cut and too many ant beds but it's a nice peaceful park.
