6 months agoWhen I was looking at the pictures it was all green and beautiful. once i got to the park there was only black burnt grass and ash for miles ( which isn’t always a bad thing because it’s a control burn site). If you want to come to fish on the lake this is an amazing place! Not the not idle place to hike if you want to have a picnic, or a hike with a view. I would come here when it’s colder so you can dress in cozy, and warm clothes! When the grass grows back this place should be a beautiful wetland spot to go. In the meanwhile this is a good place to collect some: nuts, flowers, and rocks. Always keep exploration nature and wildlife! Remember, always be respectful to nature because it’s their home! 6/10 recommend! 🩷☺️☀️⛰️

a year agoHuge park with a lot of trails. We visited in the spring and everything was nice and green (although not a lot of wild flowers). Before visiting make sure the trails are open - during our visit most of the trail close to the reservoir was closed. The rest of it was quite muddy due to the recent rains. The hill trails were fine though.

8 months agoA pleasant drive from Santa Clara to this state park in Morgan Hill. The roads leading to the park are well-maintained, and the signage and parking are clear and convenient. We enjoyed a peaceful, quiet, and undisturbed hike over the weekend. It wasn’t crowded when we visited on a Saturday around 3 pm.
