4 months agoEven during the holidays, it didn’t seem too crowded. However, for popular rides, the lines are long, and you’ll have to wait at least an hour. There’s a $45 Fast Lane pass per person, so I highly recommend purchasing and using it. In addition to the rides, there are impressive decorations and various events to enjoy. There aren’t many rides suitable for children under six, but the ones they can enjoy are grouped under the name "Snoopy."

4 months agoFun activities for all age group .. kids to youth to adult. Everyone can enjoy rides which suits them. Lots of eating options but but pricy as with other parks. Recommended buying tickets and parking in advance. Plan to come on weekdays and non holiday as it gets super crowded especially near the year end. You can bring your own food and water or drinks. Ample restrooms. You will have to walk a lot so plan to get stroller or carts for the young kid if you don't want to carry them around.

3 weeks agoThis is a great theme park! It is easily the best park in NorCal. My favorite part of this park is that front entry plaza. The classic American music combined with the beautiful views of the carousel and other rides is very memorable! They have a very solid coaster collection. Gold Striker and Railblazer offer an amazing 1-2 punch, you can't go wrong with either of those. Flight deck is a good third place coaster, then the rest are okay. I think the operations here could use improvement, some of the ride operators were just moving too slow. I would highly recommend getting fast lane if you are going on a busy day. I will be very sad to see this park go in the next 10 years. So if there is one park in NorCal you want to go to, it should be this one!

4 months agoWent to Great America multiple times and every time is an absolute blast! With Friends, Family, or simply by Yourself is no different when it comes to immersing the thrilling rollercoasters (Flight Deck, RailBlazer, Demon) but also soothing rides (carousel, swings, and Planet Snoopy). I went there during the Halloween month and the aesthetics is awe inspiring. Food Court variety is solid.

4 months agoPurchased 7 tickets for Winter Fest. I injured myself, I can't walk long distances. (I'm new to needing a wheelchair.) We didn't know the wheel chairs and electric wheelchairs would sell out (you can purchase in advance online). We tried our luck as we entered. Nothing. So I stayed near the carousel until about an hour and a half until closing when someone turned in their rental. I politely asked to speak to a supervisor, I asked for a discounted rate since it was such a short time, but the supervisor said it was not possible to offer any discounts. So let me break it down a bit. The electric wheelchairs are $55 plus tax, coming out to $62 total. (at the Oakland zoo for example the are only $30) It literally feels like and did cost me double what it costs an able bodied person to not ride anything but the stardeck. Had I gotten the chance to rent the entire time, it would have come out to $10 per hour. I ask that Great America look into its policy and evaluate their customer service. Most of the people who work at the theme park are very young and able bodied (thank goodness). I am available to answer questions.
