2 years agoCBS has my kids favorite place to be every summer for 9 years now. Every summer for two weeks my kids have explored water activities, sports, crafts, friendly competition, supportive friendships and fun themed party nights. They arrive with excitement in their eyes, and leave with their hearts full of laughter and memories to last a lifetime. And they can't wait to go back. We love CBS and our kids do too!

8 months agoCamp Balcones Springs is truly a one-of-a-kind experience, and we couldn't be happier with everything it offers. As a former camper myself (from what my child affectionately calls the '1900s'), it's been incredible to see how the camp continues to improve and evolve each year. We eagerly anticipate the new activities and enhancements that are added annually. Communication from the staff is exceptional, keeping us well-informed and connected to our child's experience. From registration, to closing ceremonies, we always know what to expect. The (Waldo) photo service, complete with facial recognition, allows us to witness the joy and excitement of camp life, whether it's archery, sports, water activities, the ropes course, or the iconic blob. The parent portal is user-friendly, and the blog updates are a wonderful way to stay engaged. Safety is paramount at Camp Balcones Springs, and it shows in everything they do. The food is freshly prepared, offers healthy options, and our child can't stop talking about how delicious it is. The facilities are immaculate, thoughtfully designed, and nestled in the stunning Texas Hill Country. What truly sets Camp Balcones Springs apart is the counselor-to-camper ratio and the dedication of the staff. The counselors are not only well-trained but also genuinely invested in the well-being of each child. They embody the Christian values that the camp is rooted in, serving as role models who exhibit patience, kindness, and love. Camp Balcones Springs goes beyond fun; it transforms lives. Our child returns home with new skills, stronger friendships, and a deeper sense of confidence. Whether it's growing in perseverance while climbing the rock wall or building leadership skills during Team Comp, the experience here is more than just fun—it's life-changing. This is the CBS difference, and we are grateful to be part of it.

8 months agoCamp Balcones Springs is the sweetest, well organized, small camp in Texas. There is a well diverse group of kids that are all loved equally. My son went to a 2 week session this past summer for the first time and lived his best life. He LOVED it! I received 10 or more pictures of my son daily and he was always so happy! We will be back!

8 months agoI worked 3 of the best summers of my life at CBS! Now, my kids love it just as much as I do! They'll be going on years 9 and 5 as campers, and it is without a doubt the highlight of their year. CBS is a magical place where kids can break away from the stress and trappings of the "real world." They can unwind and be kids, enjoying beautiful scenery, engaging and varied activities, and new friendships. The food is delicious, and the facilities are top notch, too. I highly recommend CBS to anyone looking to send their kids to camp!

8 months agoOur daughter’s first sleep away camp was with CBS this summer and she loved it! The facilities are so impressive, there are tons of special activities, and they really work on forming a community. Our daughter made so many friends and had experiences there that we could never provide her at home. We also wanted a place that had air conditioning in the Texas summers, and CBS checked that box! Our daughter is already excited for next summer and is trying to recruit as many friends to join her as possible!
