a month agoGot claimed by Apollo and this dude named Will there wouldn't stop ranting about a dude named Nico. Plus, I got sent on a quest and almost died. Not worth running away from home.

9 months agoMy daughter is 9 and loves the books. I was a little worried that the camp would not meet the high expectations she had for it. This week was wonderful! It is a magical place, everyone is really sweet and friendly and their attention to details blew us away. It gives kids a safe place to play and grow. It exceeded our expectations! Highly recommend it!!

10 months agoThis camp was pricey (we could only afford 1 week), but seems to have been worth the cost for the experience. The kids go on quests, head out on patrol with their counselor through the wooded areas, do sword fighting (with "training" swords) and more. They are in the sun a lot so for sure layer your kid up with sunscreen. I probably will wait another couple of years before sending my currently 9yo kid back as he got somewhat scared of some of the "monsters" they fight (the Smiley mask is super creepy), but all that tells me is their production value must be pretty high considering he's not usually super sensitive to scary stuff. Overall it might not have been his jam, but I just WISH I had a camp to go to like this when I was a kid. My only concern is the check in and out process is pretty lax and they could stand to be more controlled, but otherwise this is a really, really cool summer camp option.

a year agoThis is, flat out, the BEST summer camp experience our son has ever had. There is a reason people who have moved away from Austin come back for a week to attend this camp. It's magical, and well worth every cent.
