2 years agoI absolutely hated this place when my parents dropped my brother and I off when I was around the age of eight or nine to stay for 2 weeks without any heads up notice. But the next year we went I was older got to hang out with the older kids and absolutely loved it.

9 months agoMy daughter attended camp wonderland and had such a great time meeting new friends and making great memories. Thank you to all the staff for making sure my daughter was safe. Highly recommend this summer camp. They had archery, boating, swimming and different sports activities.

9 months agoDo not Recommend: 1.Staff can not meet the mental health needs of a camper that was a victim of bullying . This includes being SPIT on & physically / verbally bullied ! 2.Will blame the victim for their “big emotional” response to bullying. 3.Will allow the victim to be bullied multiple times and then act as if they were not aware of the bullying even though calls were made home regarding bullying 4.***Camp Director will tell parents of bullied children that “ your child need to speak up and tell someone if they are being bullied “ Even though we all know bullying victims very rarely disclose. It’s not the bullied child’s fault it’s the lack of response and effective intervention of staff members. 5. Will allow children to instigate fighting, bullying and SPITTING on other children but will send a camper home for big emotions and curse words 🫡 6. Took the children’s reusable water bottles. 7. Wishy washy on letting you speak to your own child while they are there and a situation is occurring. 8. Will threaten to call the police on an emotional child. 😳

a year agoMy parents first sent me to Camp Wonderland when I was around age 7. I am now a month away from being 17 years old and have went back to camp every year besides 2020 (due to the coronavirus and quarantining). Over those years I made some of the best memories and developed so many relationships with not just fellow campers but with the staff as well. Not only does your child get an opportunity to connect with God, but they’ll engage in fun activities everyday including swimming, sports, arts and crafts, archery, boat rides, camp outs, etc. Having a chance to disconnect from the internet (as no electronics are allowed at camp) was refreshing, as I found myself enjoying nature and the presence of those around me throughout every session. I could go on and on, but I’ll happily say that Camp Wonderland is the highlight of my childhood and I couldn’t be more appreciative of how it impacted me growing up.

2 years agoWhen I was just 6, I was sent to Camp Wonderland by my mother. I loved it! When I got too old to go as a camper, I went as a YGU Unit leader. A few years ago, I sent my 6 year old daughter (she is 9 now) and my 10 year old son (he is 13 now) to camp and they loved it too! This is the only camp I will ever love and I hope you and/or your kids love it too!
