3 months agoBeautiful theatre that has been well-maintained. The leg room between the seat rows is a little narrow, BUT the seats are quite comfortable! Cushions are provided for kids who need a high vantage point. Also, loved the nostalgia of the theatre as a reminder of old times. The Capitol Theatre is a true treasure! We went to see The Nutcracker, and it was SUPERB! Beautiful, flawless dancing, humorous moments, surprises using special stage effects, etc. I took my 5-, 8-, 10-, and 13-year-old kids, and we all loved the performance! We hope to come again!

4 months agoCapital Theater is a beautiful building. Ballet West and the theatre put on a great show. The buildings old architecture is amazing too. We went to Nutcracker and it was amazing. The props, the dancers and even the curtain, was awesome. So much detail put into everything.

3 months agoWe attended a Sunday matinee for the Opera and enjoyed the event. Now that road construction in front of Capital Theater has been completed it was easy to access parking facilities nearby.

2 months agoIncredibly disappointed. Purchased expensive box seats for the Cinderella ballet and it couldn't have been worse.. for $120 I should able to see at least SOME of the stage. Box seat B6 is absolutely unacceptable and honestly felt like they juat added in a chair so they could sell an extra ticket. What a joke.. See photos.

a month agoI recently visited the Capitol Theater in Salt Lake City to see Ballet West's production of "Aladdin", and it was an incredible experience! The theater itself is beautiful, with its historic charm and elegant architecture. The performance was nothing short of spectacular—stunning choreography, vibrant costumes, and an enchanting atmosphere that made the story of "Aladdin" come to life in a unique and captivating way. While I've heard rumors that the Capitol Theater is haunted, we didn't notice any signs of the supernatural during our visit! The staff was friendly, the acoustics were perfect, and the entire evening felt magical. Whether you're a fan of ballet or just looking for a night out in a beautiful venue, I highly recommend catching a show at the Capitol Theater. It's truly a gem in Salt Lake City, and I can't wait to return for future performances!
