- →Prepare for no on-site restrooms by planning bathroom breaks before or after your visit.

Things to Consider

- ⚠The area can get pretty busy on summer weekends, potentially impacting the peacefulness of the outing.
- ⚠There are no restroom facilities on-site, which is a significant inconvenience for families, especially with young children.
- ⚠The parking area is described as small, which could be an issue during peak crowded times.
Price & Value
There is a clear $2 launch fee for personal kayaks, operating on an honor system after hours. Rental prices are not specified, but the ease of rental, helpful staff, and dual river/lake access for a small launch fee suggest good value for a casual family outing.
♿Accessibility & Special Needs
- •No specific accessibility accommodations are mentioned in the reviews. The flat water conditions might be manageable for some individuals with mobility challenges, but this is not explicitly stated.

🚗Parking Info
- •A small parking area is available. Reviewers noted it was empty on a fall day, but it has the potential to become challenging and crowded during busy summer weekends or peak times.
👥Crowd Levels
- •Can get pretty busy on summer weekends.
- •Expect a quieter and less crowded experience on weekdays and during the fall season.
- •The river path itself, especially towards Lake Erie, is described as having a lot of boats and houses, indicating a generally active waterway.

a year agoThe workers are really nice. They have kayaks and paddle boards. Within 25 minutes you can be in Lake Erie. It’s a fine trail to Lake Erie, but not the most serene. The path is full of boats and houses. If you’re looking for a peaceful path full of trees and nature, look elsewhere. If you’re looking for a simple place to kayak for an hour or 2, this is a great option.

10 months agoThe crew is super nice and helpful. Easy in and out for a relaxing hour or two on the river. I would recommend going on a weekday, as I'm sure this area gets pretty busy on summer weekends. There are stretches with lots of houses and docked boats, but really nice that you can pull up the kayak and enjoy a quiet beach on Lake Erie. Not as remote as Burton or Hiram, but we saw lots of herons, ducks, and deer.

2 years agoConvenient place to launch your kayak. Nice area to paddle around. The water is flat and smooth. Many yacht clubs on the river. Small parking area. However, on a fall day when we were there, we were the only people using the facility. $2 fee to launch a kayak. My only complaint is that there is no restroom on site.

8 months agoI enjoyed the excursion today a lot! Very easy and fast to rent a kayak, they gave me very clear directions to navigate the river. It was very pretty and I got to see a lot of birds and other wildlife on the way! Even made it out to a small beach they directed me to.
