3 months agoBeware of this program. My husband signed my son up for basketball and the experience was a complete disaster! My son (African American) reported to his first day of practice and was told that only one kid (Caucasian) on the team was privy to handling the ball. My husband and I overheard the (Caucasian) coach telling the kid NOT to give the ball to my son despite my son’s skill set being 10x better than this particular kid. My son was also never provided with a uniform as the fee should have covered. I was informed today that CYA does not offer refunds. I feel scammed by this organization! DO NOT REGISTER YOUR CHILD FOR ANY SPORT WITH THIS ORGANIZATION!

6 years agoYesterday was my first experience with this organization. We are participating in youth baseball. I am hopeful that things will get better, but so far things have been disorganized and confusing. I will re-evaluate at the end of the season.

a year agoIt was very heartbreaking to watch every child on every team receive a medal except the 4-6 purple team. I understand giving kids special medals, but to watch these kids cry after seeing every other kid receive recognition was hard. A participation award should be given to every kid, no matter their ability to win games. Do better.

8 years agoThis is a great youth athletics program. with a family friendly atmosphere. I can personally speak from experience. I participated with CYA from age 5 until I went to high school. I made so many memories and friends as well as developed my softball skills.

3 years agoCYA offers a great basketball program. It’s founded on Christian principles and so cultivates a culture of fellowship and family. Coaches are supportive of youth’s emotional and social development, as well as basketball foundation skills.
