💡Pro Tips from Reviews
- →If your child's engagement in the 'kids gym' is critical for summer camp, directly inquire about the current activity schedule, screen time policy, and whether coloring/active play is still encouraged, as review indicates a shift to TV viewing.
- →For any specific children's classes, events, or recitals, proactively confirm schedules and communication methods directly with the center, potentially closer to the event time, due to reported issues with last-minute changes.
- →Sign up early for popular classes (like group exercise) as they are known to fill up quickly.
- →Check online for weekly schedules of exercise classes and other programs.
Things to Consider
- ⚠The 'kids gym' (childcare while parents work out) has shifted from active play (coloring, dancing, reading) to frequently showing TV shows like Paw Patrol or Curious George, leading to children passively watching.
- ⚠Children in the 'kids gym' are reportedly no longer allowed to color, which is a decline from previous offerings.
- ⚠Issues with poor communication regarding event schedule changes; a dance recital started 30 minutes early without sufficient notice, causing inconvenience.

🚗Parking Info
- •Free parking is available.

👥Crowd Levels
- •Exercise classes (like Tani's) are popular and 'always full', filling up fast, suggesting potential for busyness in certain areas.
- •Many local seniors attend, especially when it opens early (5 am weekdays).
- •No explicit crowd level information for children's programs or general facility during peak times is provided.
🛡️Safety Features

- •Certified trainers like Tani ensure correct routines, implying supervision and proper guidance for fitness activities.
- •No specific child safety features like wristbands, monitored entry/exit, or first aid station details are mentioned in the reviews.
⏰When to Avoid
- • If you specifically desire a fully screen-free, actively engaging, and art-friendly childcare experience in the 'kids gym', as recent changes suggest a heavy reliance on TV and removal of coloring activities.
- • If you expect highly reliable communication for event schedules without needing to double-check yourself, as there was a reported issue with late notification of a recital time change.

a month agoI used to tell all my friends to come here because the kids gym is amazing. I came here consistently for years and loved that my kids had a fun time playing, coloring, dancing, reading, etc. However since they put in a TV most of the time the teachers just put on Paw Patrol or Curious George. (Occasionally Danny Go) I see all the kids just sitting on the floor which does not seem appropriate for a place that is supposed to encourage a healthy life style. They won’t even let the kids color anymore. So disappointing. I drive past other gyms to come to this one just for the kids gym but it looks like I’ll need to reevaluate

2 months agoYMCA at Centennial Hills is awesome. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Tani the certified trainer is excellent. She plans the training schedule according to your requirements. She is professional, patient, caring, knowledgeable. She ensures you are doing the routines correctly. I met Bob who was being trained by Tani today. He was very cheerful and happy with Tani's training. He was having a great workout. She made sure he was doing it right. Check out their workout pictures. Tani also teaches group exercises. She is one of the favorites of the attendees. Her class is always full. All the attendees have great things to say about her. She is awesome. Weekly schedules for exercise classes are available online to sign up. Some of the classes fill up fast. So you have to check them early. The facility is neat, clean, organized. There are exercise machines that are up to date in the gym. Two basketball courts are located inside. There are an indoor and outdoor swimming pools. There are lockers available for temporary storage. They have an excellent pre-school program. Parking is free with handicap parking and access. EV charging sytems are available onsite.

a month agoFor traveling seniors that are YMCA members, this Vegas location is pleasant, comfortable and provides varied classes, fully equipped gyms from machines to weights. There's a basketball court, showers, and wifi. Opens 5am weekdays and many local seniors attend. Children programs while working out too.Thumbs up! My definite stop while in Vegas.

4 months agoI'm upset that dance instructors changed the time of a recital without notice. I was driving to my granddaughter's recital when we were notified they started 30 min early. I would recommend better communication, especially in this situation. She even called me earlier in the day to remind me, and I told her I would be there.
