2 months agoPhenomenal place! Free to visit. Our boys had a ball! We learned so much. I appreciated they were constantly cleaning areas while we were there. Front desk was very helpful and friendly. They had the best gift shop we have ever been to.

a month agoGreat fun experience for the kids and adults... we went 40 minutes before closing.. perfect amount of time for the kids to see and enjoy all of the exhibits before their attention span fades or they start looking for phones. Friendly staff! Clean and interesting interactive exhibits! Free to see exhibits. Optional paid shows if you wanna splurge!

a month agoOur family visited Clark Planetarium in April 2025, and noted it as a great location to visit for younger kids; albeit susceptible to downtown Salt Lake cities parking issues. As expected, this Planetarium is a well organized, and informational 'planet museum'. However, it could be described as having a movie theater "feel", with admittedly lots more to do while you wait than a traditional theatre. With multiple floors of engaging learning, a movie-style snack bar, two theaters (one IMAX) and a store for those who are inclined towards those paid resources, this is a location that would be worth a visit for most families. Notedly, some other Google Reviews note that this is a "free" location; while it is indeed free to enter, some of the more fun activities (especially for older children) like the Theatres, including the IMAX, are not free and can become prohibitively expensive depending on the size of the family/group attending. All said, the Clark Planetarium is a visit with making for anyone, and every family, who has the time.

a month agoWe had such a fun afternoon here as a family. There were a lot of free interactive exhibits. Our favorites are the tornado and the game where you can make your own systems and black holes. We also watched an amazing 3D movie in the IMAX theater.

a month agoAbsolutely wonderful and great for accessibility - it's wheelchair friendly and easy for those who can't stand for long. The exhibits are free, interactive and interesting. The shows are informative and the 3D well done. Movie theater-style snacks can be purchased on premises for reasonable prices. There were plenty seats to sit on, and the gift shop was a delight for STEM nerds. It's easy to spend a few hours at the place, and I love that on Fridays and Saturdays when all the other SLC attractions are closed, this place caters to the whole family.
