We attended 3 camps during winter and spring breaks. I found that this was a great way to expand the kid's horizons. Our kids had consistently good feedback on the teachers and the curriculum.

My son loves Minecraft and he started to attend a Minecraft coding summer camp with Code For Fun. He loved it so much that we enrolled him in Code For Fun CS league. They meet every week to learn the basics of coding with Scratch. What I like about CFF is their curriculum. Each student creates their own video game to be presented at graduation day. They can count on a very professional coach to help them achieve their goals. CFF staff is nice and welcoming.

My 8 year old boy started last summer with a summer camp close to our house. 3 hours is a bit long for him, but the weekly 1 hour class is a perfect fit. All staff members are wonderful human beings. We feel listened and cared for. Adult-child interactions are always respectful, patient and kind. Vaughn, the program director is our Coding Buddha, highlighting the gold where you'd only see a rock of you had only your child's presentation and making it easy for the non tech parent to appreciate. Carole at the front desk is also wonderful. Just give it a try (free trial class to get to know your child and assign him/her to the right cohort)!

My 8-year-old son attended a week-long camp with Code For Fun this summer about space exploration. He loved it! What he liked the most, were the Mars-themed days with the Artemis and Curiosity missions, and the James Webb telescope theme, as well as the discovery of Scratch. He also learned Physics concepts and formulas. At the end of the camp, we were invited to listen to the presentations that the children had prepared. We were impressed by the quality of the activities. If you are looking for a camp where the children do coding, but are not on a computer all day, go for it!

My son enrolled in the CS League and the Power Up with Python summer camp. He enjoyed the summer camp immensely, learned much about Python, and also completed many engaging projects. As to rooms for improvement, I wish the school can better guide kids to set up and consistently use the same account registered using their own email (if they have one, or one of the parent’s) so that they can easily save and access their work across different classes/computers and at home. Overall, I would highly recommend CFF classes for those who would like to grow their coding skills in a fun and supportive environment.
