4 weeks agoThe Columbus Museum of Art is a nice spot to spend a relaxing afternoon, especially since admission is free on Sundays—which is a great bonus. There’s also free parking just across the street behind the building, which makes visiting super convenient. That said, I was slightly disappointed with the overall experience. While there were a few standout exhibits that really captured my attention, much of the artwork felt repetitive and lacked variety. I was hoping for a more diverse and engaging collection. Still, it’s worth checking out if you’re in the area—especially on a Sunday when it won’t cost you anything.

2 months agoThis art museum is fairly small for a big city. They do have some good pieces, I loved the Goyas. Most of the art is paintings, they don’t really have anything by way of historical artifacts, pottery, jewelry, masks, etc. the building is architecturally pleasing. I came early on a heavy snow day on a Sunday, and people started coming in by 11:30, so the free days will bring in crowds. As I left people were circling the parking lot, so be here a few minutes before it opens.

a month agoSuper fun and the staff were really nice. You don’t have to pay for parking if you spend $7 at the cafe which is awesome! Really enjoyed the European art.

4 months agoPSA/Warning: You’ll need at least four hours here. At LEAST. The place is amazing and there’s so much to see and it’s such a crazy good blend of eras and styles. Luckily I had the time to spend - also you’ll need to refuel and they have food and coffee and cookies too. Take a break, have a seat, caffeinate, go see more cool art.

2 months agoWish I would've bought the membership because we loved it and will be visiting often. The Cafe was delightful....great selection of coffee drinks and wine.....I can't wait to enjoy the courtyard when winter ends.....gift shop was very nice.....everyone was so friendly. The exhibits were wonderful and I love how they gave the background of how, why & when they were created. Classic pieces and new age styles....popular artists as well as up and coming artists.....local artists too!! Any purchase in the gift shop validates parking which saves $7 or $9 dollars (I don't remember the exact amount....but was grateful that they took care of it) Great outing alone or with friends....my teenager loved it.
