a year agoI have been promising to go now for a few years +, but simply never got around to it, always some excuse, but certainly my loss. I finally went out on Sunday 8/21 and had such a truly fun day on my own. Such an enjoyable and tranquil experience. Volunteers were all very helpful and friendly. This place is the best, and I would give it 10 stars if I could. Thank you, Community Boat House Volunteers and organizers, your simply the best!

4 years agoMy 12 years old Daughter's first experience and she loved it. The instructor has the ability to show anyone to learn the first time. Friendly staff and helpful with 1000 questions. I give this location Beach 88th and Beach Channel Drive 5 full stars. It's the best place to be with your kids to focus on fun and not worry on the pandemic. Thank you guys for her amazing experience. She you all at 12 today and all days you're there. Simelies and I are greatful.

4 years agoWonderful idea for the community, however, during COVID all volunteer staff should wear masks and sanitizing procedures should be in place. Disinfecting paddles and boats should be the standard practice. In addition, one female volunteer was extremely aggressive and her behavior was unacceptable. She does not uphold the spirit of the organization. She should not be volunteering until she's trained in how to interact respectfully with the public. The cleaning was done haphazardly, and many items were overlooked. In addition, screaming orders at and pointing in someone's face is unacceptable in any circumstance.
