Great trail, actually several trails all with customizations long or short. Breathtaking views of the lake, my favorite where a creek flows into the lake, there's a nice scenic point with great views of the lake. Beware kids party there at night, watch out for broken glass, if you have solid hiking boots you're fine, NO barefoot.

I loved it! More nature than my typical stroll on Trinity Trail. It was nice to be in the trees, walk on dirt paths, and see some water. Was not crowded at all! I will definitely be going back.

It is a beautiful place and hearing the waves in the lake was like music to my soul. There are a lot of ups and downs though and most of the trails are not paved so I highly recommend hiking boots and a partner to walk with. Don't forget your water!

Eagle Mountain Park is the best place to get exercise in DFW in my experience. Over 7 miles of trails with varying terrain ranging from inclines to flat to semi steep declines, gravel, sand, dirt, grass, it’s great. There are mile markers and maps , color coded trail waypoints and great views. Overlook the lake or walk meadows or walk the lake beach, just a great spot. Not too many folks most of the time. Highly recommend. The Jaguar lives in the Fort Worth Zoo. Just seeing if you’re paying attention 😉

Nice long trail. The trail is all dirt, and some sand. My husband and I walked the whole trail. This trail can get muddy after rainy days, so probably not good idea to come here for a walk. We seen armadillos, deers and lots of grass hoppers. There are two restroom areas along the whole trail. Wear good shoes there are some up hill elevation to walk.
