3 years agoThe Eagle Plein Air Festival is a fantastic opportunity for plein air artists of every skill level. It is headquartered at Finer Frames Gallery in Eagle, Idaho. The Festival runs 7 days including a day for awards, sales and party. Each day has a theme, location or event for painters or you may choose to paint anywhere in a 50 mile radius. There are rivers, lakes, ponds, mountains, desert, urban and rural scenery in abundance to paint. This year (2020) there were 3 judged events for your entry fee. There was the main event, a nocturnal event and a quick draw event. Judging is by an acclaimed regional juror. This year was Lori McNee from Sun Valley, Idaho. A fabulous plein air artist in her own right. This was my 5th year of participation and I would highly recommend it to any plein air artist. I would add, in the year of the pandemic the Festival kept safety in the forefront of the event from start to finish.

3 years agoBig congratulations to Meg Glasgow and the team at Finer Frames in Eagle Idaho for a job well done! This event was well organized and so much fun. The artists were well supported and the organizers were very generous. Thanks as well to the sponsors who provided so many goodies and yummy treats at the reception. Idaho is beautiful in the fall!

3 years agoThis was my 4th year at the Eagle Plein Air Festival hosted by Finer Frames in Eagle, Idaho. The event has grown and continues to be exceptional. Even through the Covid years, it adapted and changed to meet the challenges but still support the Community and the Artists. It takes a lot of background work to make something this good and the Finer Frames staff has nailed it. I will be returning. Love the staff, their enthusiasm and support. Keep up the great work!

3 years agoThe plein air festival was well organized and fun. The Eagle area provides great opportunities to paint a variety of subject matter. It was great to mingle, paint and compare notes with other artists. I felt like the set up to display finished paintings worked well. I would recommend this event to artists looking to challenge themselves in a positive, fun environment.

3 years agoOnce again the "Eagle Plein Air Festival" has ben a smashing success. This is a great event for artists of all levels and collectors alike. Plan to challenge your abilities and connect with like-minded colleagues and art collectors. The demos, instruction and camaraderie is top notch as more awards are added each year. The staff is hard working and the venue brings plenty of opportunities to create qreat artwork. This is a must attend event for those who value creativity and are new to the area. FIVE STARS!
