Nice launch, beautiful run on Ellicott Creek. Only complaint is that one side of the launch is missing a handrail. Quiet, tucked away launch site in a pretty park.

Good kayaking, good scenic diversity of residential, industrial, and natural. Keep an eye out for boaters as it is an open river/stream and nearby restaurants/bars offer alcohol 🙂👌

Absolutely love the playground equipment here! Definitely a fun and all inclusive activities location. *It should have fencing installed for improved safety. More disability accommodation equipment for more individuals to play would be great also. Definitely will visit here again.

One of my favorite hidden gems of my childhood which I still enjoy going to decades later. Kayak launch was a totally awesome addition to the shoreline. It's nicely nestled in by the train tracks to make it safe for enthusiasts of all levels. One of the train bridges is active and the other has basically become a walking bridge - beautiful view of a cozy spot of Ellicott Creek. There's one picnic shelter which easily has over a dozen picnic tables under it and a grill pit area ready to take on an event that size (bring some grate cleaning skills but you won't be disappointed). A small playground area with a small shelter over a picnic table, a fairly large area to run around in, a public bathroom ... Only one way in or out and parking for large events could be challenging. Honestly, so many great memories of old and new have been made there since the late '70's that I hope will continue as I come back for visits! Kudos to the Parks Department for their amazing efforts to keep the small park clean and safe!

Yes, it's awesome there is yet another public kayak launch, and there is easy access to it. HOWEVER, the creek is absolutely disgusting and I wouldn't want one drop of water dripping from my paddle into my craft or on me. The water is so stagnant, there is a film of algae that covers the stretch of the creek, and the water has such a stench to it...it's awful. The city and town need to do a drastic cleanup and I think there would be a lot more use by kayakers. Until then, some of the other improvements that have been made, such as the new paths and launches, will just go unnoticed because they won't get used, and that's a shame. I can't rate it any higher until some major improvements are done to the water quality. You could line the edges with roses and tulips, and add a dozen more launches, but it's like floating on sewer water...the scenery just doesn't matter. I'll keep my fingers crossed though, I would love to be able to paddle out there some day.
