5 years agoThis is a well located and pleasant place to launch a kayak. Bathrooms and ample parking. Train tracks above can be noisy but it’s great to see the bikers go by overhead on the new rails/trails path. Kayak launch is easy with a double railed ramp. The canal water can get cloudy/swampy looking in hot weather. To the right you’ll get to the heart of Tonawanda which can be busy on weekends. To the left provides miles of peaceful creek kayaking and creek views.

a year agoGreat place to launch a kayak into Ellicott creek! Quite location. The rail for trails passes by here and there is a nice playground at the front of the park.

12 months agoThe location is easy to find and has parking near the launch site. One section of the launch rail is not bolted down so it is wobbly still usable. It's a nice paddle but there is nearby traffic noise if you don't mind that.

6 years agoThe kayak launch was a great addition to eastern park. I grew up in this neighborhood, so I enjoy seeing things being improved. It's a little disappointing seeing all of the trees being cut down for the rails to trails path, I'm really hoping they replant a whole bunch.

a year agoCreepy, my grandkidsnwanted to do magnet fishing there. So we did. Not really the safest place, I'd say, although there are houses along the water about 50 yards.
