3 months agoThe enclosure for the elephants is very nice, they've got a lot of room to roam, and you can view from multiple areas within the zoo. Unfortunately, on this occasion we didn't see any, even though we stopped at several viewing areas over the course of the afternoon. In fact, a lot of the major animals went unseen this day. No lions. What happened to the hippos, are they gone? They were favorites for me. Pretty disappointing honestly.

8 months agoI found "Elephants of Asia" at the Los Angeles Zoo to be an exciting place to get up close and personal with these creatures in an expansive space with a big water area that allows these beautiful creatures to play around. My highlight sighting was seeing this incredibly tall elephant with tusks. One should bear in mind today's issues and those that continue plaguing this zoo regarding animal welfare.

11 months agoWhen I first came to see the elephants at this zoo, there were three elephants. Billy, Gita and Ruby. Sadly, they died. But luckily, Billy survived. Then one day, they created an exhibit called "Elephants of Asia." Billy used to live with Tina, Jewel and Shaunzi. Now, he only lives with Tina. I would look forward to the zoo having new arrivals.
