Elk Grove Regional Park

Okay. Low rating due to no fish!. It was a nice park. Very large outdoor grass areas. Nice with the ducks and geese. There is not a lot of garbage around. Saw someone emptying garbage bins!

The management of this park is doing an outstanding job of trying to preserve trees that were devastated by previous tree contractor, they teach tree planting and host one of the largest annual religious gathering’s top notch management

huge park with many different uses. lots of different aquatic bird species. nice big shady trees for picnics and grills for cookouts. good for a walk in the park, just make sure you aren't stepping in anything the ducks left behind

Me and my dear went to this park three times and it's tranquil, quiet, and nice to walk around and experience nature and connect with life! Whenever I need to step away from the troubles of life and meditate or go on a date, it's here!

Edit: I should update for anyone who’s not a great driver like myself. So GETTING into this place isn’t easy. Google takes me on a frontage road that puts you into this kinda unsafe turn if it’s closed.. which it usually is. Not fun to do with a frantic chihuahua who can smell we are there. Basically.. I wish there was City signage around to park telling you where to park and stuff. In Oakland and San Jose we had that everywhere. Anyways.. my only issue is the parking aspect. All of it. Even once inside you gotta park right along the road. If you’re unlucky and someone only worried about themselves come in.. you can get boxed in for hours cause the chain in front of the spots forces you to back out. Please read below though, once you’ve made it in and parked.. this is a cool place. Aways groups of adults doing workouts or couples jogging.. people taking their babies on a stroll.. it’s very nice. My dog loves it, she wants to rub in the grass and pee on everything. I tend to have to carry her to the car cause she doesn’t wanna leave. Our first decade she had a big backyard and has never gotten used to an apartment.. poor little thing. But! We have this park so thank you Elk Grove, it’s very nice and makes my dog and tons of people and kids happy so I’m all for it. Great spot. The beautiful pup in the pictures is Snickers Dog. She’s a pit/chihuahua. Very nervous/Adores nature This place is huge. I go here every now and then hadn’t been there in years so checked it out. Dog loved it and it was very well kept.
