🛡️Safety Policy

• Children may get muddy, wet, and sandy during their unstructured play experience in the Nature Play Area. Recommended to bring a towel and change of clothing for quick clean up.
• Free hand sanitizer stations are positioned along the path, at restrooms, and food locations.
• Stay on visitor paths, observe posted signs, and do not reach into or climb on exhibits.
• Do not throw things at animals, feed animals, or touch animals.
• Avoid making loud noises as they may startle animals.
• Do not pick flowers or plants, climb trees, or walk through flower beds.
• The Houston Zoo is a smoke and vape free facility. Smoking is not allowed on Zoo grounds.
• Prohibited items: Glass containers, weapons, alcohol, bikes, scooters (personal, not rental), skates and skateboards, rollerblades, radios/CD players, whistles, inflatable objects, toy weapons, balloons, motorcycle helmets, luggage, motorized toys.
• For the comfort and safety of all guests, strollers, wagons, and coolers are not permitted in the Galápagos Islands exhibit.

📅Booking Policy

• Online reservations for timed tickets are required for all non-member guests.
• Tickets will NOT be sold on-site at the Zoo.
• Entry is only allowed on the selected date of ticket purchase. Ticket holders can enter any time after their ticket’s listed arrival time.
• Members do not need a reservation to visit the Zoo. They enter through the Member Entrance and present a digital membership card.
• CityPASS® ticket holders do not need advanced reservations for Zoo entry.
• General admission reservations are limited each day and are first come, first served.
• Purchases for general admission are limited to 10 tickets.
• Guests with general admission must have their reservation confirmation (printed or on phone) to check in.
