I’m Vicki Amar, Owner and Lead Wedding Planner of Amarvelous Event in Boynton Beach, I recently had the absolute pleasure of planning and decorating a wedding at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Coral Gables, Florida. This venue offers an absolutely breathtaking backdrop for a wedding, and we were thrilled to hold the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all on-site. We utilized the garden's lush beauty as our canvas, incorporating jewel-toned flowers to enhance the already stunning natural surroundings. The ceremony area, overlooking the lake with its spectacular pathway leading to the altar, was truly magical. For the cocktail hour, we created a luxurious and inviting space in a banyan tree clearing, using elegant velvet furniture mixed throughout the trees. The lighting design was a key element, as we had three distinct spaces for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, all spread across the grounds. We designed an elaborate lighting scheme, ensuring all pathways were beautifully illuminated as dusk settled, allowing guests to fully enjoy the garden under the stars. The string lights created a truly romantic and enchanting ambiance. The property also offers excellent facilities for the wedding party. The bride and her party enjoyed a guest house, which was the perfect place to relax, get ready, and take pre-ceremony portraits. The groom and his party were comfortable in a separate classroom. The garden itself provided the most picturesque setting for photography. Immediately following the ceremony, the couple was whisked away in a venue-provided golf cart, and the photography and videography team joined them to capture stunning portraits throughout the grounds. Every corner of this venue is incredibly photogenic. Amarvelous Event can't wait for our next wedding at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. It's a truly breathtaking property. Photo @Leddlens

Dreamy experience. Had such a wonderful time here. They have a tropical rainforest setting and a beautiful butterfly house where you can interact with the butterflies. The place is simply spectacular. My favorite botanical garden in Miami. Absolutely beautiful.

In Spring the garden is alive with birds and butterflies. In the Keys Coastal Habitat a bold Northern Cardinal pair chipped as I passed, and a pair of Red Bellied Woodpeckers noisily checked out a nest cavity. A group of Fishing Crows were having a human-like convo in the Coconut palms. In the Pineland plot, around their hostplant, Mexican Alvaradoa, Dina Yellow butterflies were fluttering like tiny fairies. Gold rimmed Swallowtails and Monarchs soared and chased in the native butterfly garden. A Lignum Vitae tree was covered in small, intensely blue flowers, all enjoyed by honeybees laden with pollen. Watching exotic butterflies from the Glasshouse Cafe, I enjoyed a cool, refreshing lunch. And at the Visitors Center, staff helped me find adorable nature-themed baby gifts. This was a delightful visit!

It only took us 20 years to find this place, but we are very glad we did. It's 83 acres of splendor ... a conservatory and a botanical garden that began in the 1930s. The butterfly enclosure was wonderful. The Chihuly glass sculptures were an awesome surprise. The free 40-minute tram ride around the "lowland lakes" featuring an amazing variety of palm trees and bamboos was actually really cool. There's a cafe, a children's garden for climbing, and for a separate fee, they have a Night Garden light show if you have time (we didn't). As seniors with AAA, our entrance fee was under $21. If you live in the area, membership is probably worth it because they encourage family picnics.

Wonderful gardens! We booked tickets online and ended up spending over 3 hours here. There was lots to walk around and explore. We also did the tram tour which was super informative, I recommend doing that if you can! Everything was really well maintained and you can actually also see crocodiles which is pretty cool! Definitely recommend.
