4 months agoIt is a hidden gem and a wonderful place to connect with nature. The park is beautifully maintained, with lush greenery and serene walking trails that are perfect for a peaceful stroll or a family outing. One of the standout features is the farm area, where kids can enjoy seeing animals up close, making it a delightful experience for little ones. The park also has a great playground that keeps children entertained for hours. The picnic areas are spacious, making it an excellent spot for a relaxed family picnic or a gathering with friends. The open fields provide plenty of room for kids to run around and play, while the wooded areas offer shaded spots to unwind. Whether you’re looking for a quiet escape, a place for kids to explore, or just a beautiful park to enjoy the outdoors, Farrel-McWhirter Park is a fantastic choice!

a month agoLovey views (especially in the rain). Extremely friendly staff who took the time to tell us about the animals and they’re quirks. They even has a musician playing live music, all free of charge. Visit for a great place to explore.

a month agoThis was our first time here but it won't be our last! We were in Redmond for another reason but I looked up fun things to do there and this popped up and its FREE! The animals were all so happy and friendly. The workers were kind and informative. I cannot wait to come back and bring all my kids!

a month agoBeautiful place! Farm with goats pigs chickens and horses 🐴. My dog went crazy over the horses. I know of no public place where one can acclimate ones dog to horses and other animals. OH WAIT, Kelsey Creek Park has farm animals. There are trails only for horses and many trails for walkers too but no bikes 🚲 here. Also the picnic areas are nicer than anywhere I’ve seen. Most have built in sinks and open sinks by the restrooms ( family restrooms too). It’s kept up nicely also. Not great to let the dog run tho so on leash is strongly advised. Horses will kick the dogs as their only defense. Lots of signage to know where you’re leaving and entering into. Big smooth walkways and a stream to drink or cool off the dogs! It’s a huge place bring lunch and enjoy!

7 months agoFarrel-McWhirter Park in Redmond, WA, is a hidden gem! This 68-acre park offers a perfect blend of nature, education, and community. You can explore the barnyard with farm animals, multi-use trails, picnic areas, and an equestrian arena. Things we liked: Visit the Barnyard: Get up close and personal with cows, horses, pigs, goats, sheep, and chickens. Hike the Trails: Choose from stroller-friendly paved trails, hard-pack gravel, or bark trails, including the 1.5-mile perimeter loop and the 8-mile Puget Sound Energy Powerline Trail ¹. Take a Riding Lesson: Sign up for youth or adult riding classes. Attend Community Events: Join in on farm school programs and other activities. Nature Vision Preschool: located within the park, offers a unique nature-based education experience for children aged 3.5-5 years. Overall, Farrel-McWhirter Park is a fantastic spot for families, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone looking for a peaceful escape.
