Fernbank Museum offers a fascinating glimpse into natural history, particularly Georgia's. While not the largest, its dinosaur exhibits, including the massive Argentinosaurus, are impressive. The "Walk Through Time in Georgia" exhibit provides a good overview of the state's diverse ecosystems. The outdoor WildWoods and Fernbank Forest offer pleasant trails. It's a solid, family-friendly museum, though some may find it geared more towards children.

We visited it during Florida spring break. Plenty of parking on site and very courteous front desk staff. There are multiple floors and outdoor space to explore. You would need at least 5-6 hours to explore the place including two 3d movies, each with 45 mins and 26 mins respectively. I would highly encourage exploring outdoor walking trails especially for kids. There are so many spots for kids physical activities. T-rex 3D film was pretty entertaining. Place also offers event place in evening for gala and dinner.

What an amazing science and nature museum! The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a truly impressive sight - a massive dinosaur skeleton display that immediately sets the tone for the adventure ahead. I couldn't help but feel dwarfed standing next to these enormous prehistoric creatures! The natural history exhibits really blew me away, especially their extensive collection of animal skeletons. From tiny rodents to massive mammals and rare species, it was fascinating to compare the different bone structures and sizes. The way they've organized the displays makes it easy to understand how different animals evolved and adapted. This place is definitely designed with kids in mind, but as an adult, I had just as much fun! There are plenty of interactive science exhibits where children can burn off energy while learning - I saw lots of excited kids running from one hands-on activity to another. The educational value is obvious, but it's all presented in such an engaging way that it never feels like a boring science lesson. We also explored their outdoor area, NatureQuest, which is like a whole other museum in itself! While walking through the trails and elevated walkways, I noticed lots of lighting equipment and special setups throughout the forest. They host something called "Fernbank After Dark" with special nighttime programs (definitely on my list for next visit!). Even though we missed the evening events, the daytime forest walk was peaceful and beautiful.

Loved this place, wish we had more time here. This was the first time kids actually saw standing up dinosaur exhibit. The collection of rocks from the state of Georgia were incredible. 3D Movie was engaging, entertaining and educational at the same time. They also have lovely outdoors area to make a full day trip out of this location. They have a decent cafeteria on site and the movie was included in our ticket. We had a city pass

10/10 one of the best smaller museums we have went to. The children had a blast! Loved the dinosaurs & all the fun hands on activities! The outdoor walking path is so beautiful!!!
